Sailing On

It was a good day yesterday to bring The Avenue down the river to Fremantle Sailing Club in prep for the short-offshore winter series.

Calm seas before the storm hit Perth last night.

Honoured to be mentioned in parliament for founding and running the veteran charity Sailing On.

Sailing On congratulates Cockburn Men Shed for winning National Shed of the year. Well deserved and well done to all.

Watch Jonathan Huston MLA speak to the WA Parliament about Sailing On. It was wonderful to hear his support for veterans. It was also great to receive the support from Kim Giddens MLA and Paul Papalia CSC MLA in our discussions afterwards.

Our boat building veterans gather each Monday at South Perth and Henderson to work on our yachts. Here they are yesterday presumably watching the kettle boil….

- actually they were manufacturing a gimbal for the metho stove on Avenue to enable cooking in rough seas.

Sailing On was mentioned in parliament yesterday by the honourable Jonathan Houston MP who spoke of the amazing work that Sailing On was doing for Veterans in the mental health and wellbeing space. It was fabulous to see the efforts of all at Sailing On being acknowledged by the government.
