Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating an incident that occurred in Beckenham, Friday 11 June 2021.

About 11:34 am, an unregistered off-road motorcycle was travelling northbound on the dual-purpose pathway (pedestrian/cycleway) alongside Roe Highway, between Nicholson Road and Kenwick Link.

The motorcycle collided with an 84-year-old male cyclist using the cycle path.

The cyclist received critical injuries and was conveyed by St John Ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

The motorcycle rider failed to stop or render assistance. The rider is described as a fair skinned male.

Major Crash investigators are appealing for witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
