Karratha Collegians, we're coming back ππ
We'll be returning to the FeNaClNG Festival on Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 August, and would love to reconnect with our MLC community across the Pilbara and surrounding regions.
If you're a Collegian living in the region, come and say hello. Whether it's been a few years or a few decades since you walked through the MLC gates, we'd love to catch up, hear what you've been up to and reconnect over a chat π
Thinking about boarding for your daughter or know a family considering MLC? This is also the perfect opportunity to meet our Assistant Director of Boarding, Sharon Marron, ask questions about boarding life and discover the opportunities available for girls from regional Western Australia.
Whether you're looking towards your daughter's future, reminiscing about your own boarding days, or simply keen to reconnect with your old school, we would love to see you there.

Many of you may have heard about our Finding Lost Collegians Project (or perhaps heard about it through the Collegian grapevine π), and weβre excited to share that the search is well underway!
Last week, we held our first Mighty MLC Muster Phone-a-thon, where a small group of Collegians joined forces with three current MLC students to help reconnect members of our MLC community π

We are proud to celebrate Kimberly Kushner (Class of 2005) on the publication of her new book, Seen & Heard πβ¨
Part personal memoir and part practical guide, Seen & Heard explores Kimberly's journey living with endometriosis and complex chronic illness, while offering support, education and hope for others navigating similar experiences.
As a former MLC boarder, Kimberly reflects on how her time at the College shaped her journey. Through sharing her story, she hopes to raise awareness of endometriosis - a condition affecting around 1 in 7 women - and encourage earlier recognition, understanding and conversations around women's health. π
Congratulations, Kimberly, on this incredible achievement and for using your voice to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. We are so proud to have you as part of our Collegians community π

"Instead of goals, I've learnt to use something I call guideposts β my values" β¨
When Collegian Kate Dixon (Class of 2008) returned to MLC to speak at a Senior School Assembly this year, she shared a message that resonated with students and staff alike.
From captaining MLC's A Grade netball team and studying speech pathology, to moving to Canada on her own, volunteering with refugees, and now working as a Communication Partner with the Department of Justice, Kate's career has taken unexpected turns. Rather than following a carefully mapped-out plan, she credits three guiding values β adventure, curiosity and generosity β with helping her navigate every major decision πΏβ¨
Kate encouraged students not to worry if they don't yet know exactly where life is heading.
"You won't always know which path is right. When that happens, don't panic about not having a goal. Instead, check in with your guideposts β your values."
Thank you, Kate, for returning to MLC to share your remarkable journey and for reminding our students that success isn't always about having all the answers -it's about staying true to what matters most ππ
