For anyone finding their feet in an unfamiliar place, the football pitch offers something invaluable: instant community. Football has a beautiful way of making a new place feel like home.
Today, on World Refugee Day, we are reminded of the incredible resilience and courage shown by so many within our community. We see sport as a universal language. A simple way to bring people together, build connections, and create a true sense of belonging. Through our multicultural settlement programs, youth initiatives, and community events, we aim to ensure that every individual feels welcome, included, and part of a community.

"Do you see me?"
For many people with learning disabilities, being included is not just about being invited to take part. It is about being recognised, listened to, supported and valued for who they are.
At Football Futures Foundation, we see the courage it can take to step onto the pitch for the first time. We see the joy of scoring a goal, making a friend, learning a new skill or feeling part of a team. We see the families, carers, coaches and volunteers who help create safe and welcoming spaces where every person can belong.
We are proud to support people with learning disabilities in building confidence, connection and opportunity through the game. More than just football, it can be a place where people feel seen.
