Intent.
10 days until the first dance.
We’ve been ready.
Most people don’t have a fat loss problem.
They have a consistency problem.
The deficit just hides it for abit.
Context decides if something works or not.
Not the method.
The individual.
The phase.
Recovery.
Life stress.
Ignore context and you’ll keep blaming the plan.
Any coach can run a deficit.
Not every coach can guide a prep.
Know the difference.
Standards aren’t loud.
They’re shown in the small decisions no one sees.
Consistency isn’t dramatic.
It’s just repeated.
And over time, it compounds.
Training hard is common.
Training effectively is not.
Consistency, effort, and adding load can all exist without the stimulus ever being high enough to drive change. When logs show the same reps every set, no drop off as fatigue accumulates, and load progressing without visible strain, it’s usually a sign the sets are too far from failure.
Effort matters.
But honest effort matters more.
Progress comes from training close enough to failure to force adaptation, while still being able to recover and repeat the work week after week.
That’s what actually moves the needle.
If you’re in prep, hunger isn’t something to fix every time it shows up.
It’s something to expect.
The people who get through prep well aren’t the ones who avoid discomfort.
They’re the ones who stay structured when it’s there.
That’s part of the job.

Where do I start? This is the perfect ending to one of the most rewarding comp preps I’ve ever experienced. The highs, lows, wins, lessons, and growth—all parts of the process that pushed me to become a better athlete, coach, partner, and father.
I wanted to prove that if you work relentlessly, commit to true discipline and dedication, you can achieve whatever you set your mind to. Sounds cliché, right? But if my journey doesn’t leave clues to success, I don’t know what does. Before this season, I’d never placed 1st. Across five shows and 13 stage appearances, I placed from last to 2nd. This year, my dream came to fruition.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey—your support means the world and never goes unnoticed. And the biggest thanks to my closest circle, the ones in my corner who make all of this possible. You know who you are 🫱🏻🫲🏼❤️.

What began as a panic buy during the pandemic has transformed into my own "House Of Gains."
It may be the hottest gym in summer and the coldest in winter, and it might not have the flashiest equipment, but it's my space. My peace. My time. My outlet 😤
It's a constant and costly work in progress, and if I had one regret—it's that I didn't make it bigger. But this space is an investment, probably not the best financial investment, but a strong investment in my future self and goals.
