Made the paper! 📰
So lovely to see the sculptural dress work — and the residency at Mount Flora Regional Museum — getting some love in print in the North Coast Post.

The Museum will be open this Saturday 29 August, 10am–4pm.

One of my favourite parts of this residency has been making the dresses right there in the museum — surrounded by the objects and stories of the place, letting them shape the work as it grows. And then having visitors wander in, stop for a chat, and share their own memories back with me… those moments have meant so much.

So lovely to have the Councillor visit me at the museum — really grateful for the support of the artist residency. 😊

This Saturday we’ll be hosting an artist talk at Mount Flora Regional Museum, with all residency artists sharing their work and process.
The museum is open 10am–4pm if you’d like to wander through the collection, and there’ll be a coffee cart on site from 2–4pm during the talks.

If you’re visiting Mount Flora, you’re welcome to sit for a moment and make one of these small paper flowers — a simple, gentle bit of paper‑folding as you wander through the museum.

Paper Dress Workshop
Using vintage sewing patterns, discover a new way to give them life as a framed paper dress. 👗🎀
A gentle, hands‑on workshop where old lines and textures are reimagined into something fresh. No experience required.
You’re welcome to bring your own patterns or small sentimental items to include.

I’m delighted to share that I’ll be participating in the Artist Residency, which begins today and runs until 27 September 2026. I’m honoured to be included alongside the other participants and really looking forward to the work that will unfold. I’ll be working from the Mount Flora Regional Museum each Wednesday.

Over the coming weeks I’ll be creating large‑scale paper dresses inspired by the histories of local women, alongside an artist talk, a workshop, and open‑studio days.
