This is Meadows Hives ACCOYA long hive inspired by and designed with advice from Noochii Hive in the UK.
The aim is to make Enviromentally friendly, Bee friendly and People friendly hives that will last a lifetime.
We use ACCOYA which has a 50 year above ground life span, with stainless steel fixings and insulation to cope with the Australian climate. It has the option to be Flow frame ready. No more lifting heavy supers, watch your bees through windows or the Perspex crown boards without disturbing them.

A new variation in our Flanders Memorial Day poppies… a white cross in the centre

This is a Custom 8 x Queen rearing Nuke hive with 8 separate hive entrances [ 5 Frames per section] in pine with insulated roof and drop down floor fitted with Varroa mite screen and inspection trays and individual Perspex crown boards. There is space above for winter feeders.

The long hive is ideal for this type of work , queen raising, but also from a safety point of view as you don't need to lift heavy supers.

We also believe that the long hives are the way to go and our next long hive will be built from ACCOYA , a form of accetylsied pine with 50 year above ground warranty and superior insulating properties and dimensionally stable.

Call out to all bee keepers, our new "Honey Hearts" are now available for your bees to fill with comb and delicious honey.

Our "Honey Hearts" are hand made of 1.5mm thick pine and built into either WSP or full depth Langstroth frames ready to pop straight into your hive.

The full depth Langstroth frames contain 4 "Honey Hearts" approximately 14cm wide x 17cm deep while the WSP frames contain 7 "Honey Hearts" 9.5cm x 12cm.
Once your bees have filled them with honey and capped the comb, you can easily separate the hearts to sell as special gifts particularly for Valentines Day, Mothers day etc.

Similar "rounds of honey in the comb" sell for about $12 each so why not introduce your bees to our "Honey Hearts". No more messy cutting combs.

Under development are mini Honey hearts in Perspex containers, ideal for wedding and party favours.
