Did you know Broomeโs pearling history includes a long-standing Filipino connection?
For Brainbox, that makes todayโs trivia especially meaningful. WA and the Philippines have shared ties for generations, shaped by people, work, culture, and community.
Please note that our team will be operating with a skeletal workforce on Monday, 1 June, in observance of Western Australia Day. This is to ensure continued support for our non-WA clients while allowing our WA team members to observe the public holiday.

๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐น๐ฒ | Why Clients Never Leave: The Brainbox Outsourcing Secret
Client retention rarely comes from one big moment. More often, it comes from the decisions made long before a partnership begins.
As Brainbox closes FY26 with double digit growth and industry leading client retention, the Management Retreat in Ho Chi Minh City gave leaders from Australia, the Philippines, and the United States time to reflect on what is driving that momentum.
For Alexis Guillot, Partner and Service Delivery Director, the answer is clear:
โMost offshore providers sell labour. Yes, we provide offshore talent โ but so do thousands of BPOs. The difference is in how we do it โ we hire better; we listen better; we match people better.โ
That philosophy shaped the retreatโs broader focus: people, culture, quality, compliance, succession, accountability, international growth, and future workforce readiness.
This featured article looks at the strategy behind Brainboxโs retention success, the Filipino workforce helping drive it, and the meaning of as Brainbox prepares for a bigger FY27.

A good offshore team should not feel โoffshoreโ.
It should feel like part of the business.
That is what Deborah saw with Brainbox. The team fit in naturally, worked to the same standard, and became part of the wider Perth team.
That is the difference when offshoring is built on right-fit hiring, proper support, and real integration.
Offshoring Done Differently is not about distance. It is about how well the team works together.

For many SME leaders, the issue is not effort. It is where the time goes.
Admin. Follow-ups. Inboxes. Reporting. Scheduling.
Important work, yes. But it quietly pulls time away from strategy, sales, and growth.
Brainbox Offshoring helps SMEs create real capacity with offshore support roles that are structured properly, hired for right fit, and integrated into the way the business already runs.
The result is clearer ownership, steadier ex*****on, and more time for the work that actually moves the business forward.
If you got eight hours back this week, where would they go?

Offshoring is often assessed through delivery, cost, governance, and performance.
This article looks at something that does not always show up in a report: what partners understand when they spend time with the people and culture behind the work.
During Brainboxโs Partner Immersion & Business Discovery Program in the Philippines, Lee Williams, Rod Ritchie, Rod Messina, Vincent Hughes, and Martin Jaros saw the offshore model from the inside.
They toured Brainbox Philippines, joined business immersion sessions, met the team, and experienced parts of Pampangaโs heritage and community life, including a shared cultural activity with the children of Bale-Balayan.
The visit gave partners a closer view of how Brainbox operates, but also why the local culture matters. It showed how workplace values, leadership, community, and Filipino hospitality all shape the way offshore teams communicate, collaborate, and build long-term relationships.
That is the real focus of this featured article: not a polished version of outsourcing, but a closer look at the people, discipline, and cultural understanding behind Offshoring Done Differently.

As part of Brainboxโs Partner Immersion & Business Discovery Program, CEOs from one of Western Australiaโs leading business communities spent time at the Bale-Balayan: Museum for the Poor and Center for Transformation through the Arts in Pampanga.
Bale-Balayan or "playhouse" is an art space dedicated for the underprivileged children of the community. Founded through the vision of National Artist Peter De Vera, the centre gives children and young people an opportunity to learn, perform, and express themselves through music, dance, and the arts โ making it a space where heritage becomes a source of confidence, connection, and hope.
One of the most memorable moments of the visit came when our guests joined the children in playing the indigenous "Angklung". What started as a simple activity quickly became a shared experience filled with laughter, rhythm, and genuine connection โ a reminder that music and culture have a way of bringing people together, regardless of background.
Experiences like these are an important part of the Brainbox journey.
Cultural immersion helps our partners see the Philippines beyond the workplace โ through the stories, traditions, and communities that shape the lives of the people our teams work alongside every day.
A heartfelt thank you to Lee, Rod, Rod, Vincent, and Martin for experiencing Brainbox's corporate social responsibility with openness, humility, and genuine curiosity.

Avelingโs visit to Brainbox Philippines was a reminder of how much changes when people finally meet face to face.
Lauren Gonzales and Tony Aveling spent time with the 13-member Applied Education offshore team, the people supporting enrolments, assessments, administration, student support, marketing, and operations from the Philippines.
There were briefings, team discussions, and a headquarters tour. But the real value came through in the quieter moments: conversations at desks, questions shared openly, and the team hearing directly from the leaders of the business they support.
For Lauren, one line captured it clearly: โTheyโre all one team. It doesnโt actually matter where you are.โ
The featured article shares what the visit revealed about the partnership between Aveling and Brainbox, and how a well-supported offshore team can become part of the day-to-day fabric of a business.

The fastest way to make offshoring feel hard is to treat it like โhere are some tasks, good luckโ.
That is when you end up writing long briefs at night, fixing tiny errors, and chasing updates because nobody owns the outcome.
Brainbox Offshoring is built to avoid that mess. We help you define what the role owns, how work is handed over, what โdoneโ looks like, and what the weekly rhythm is.
Then we back it with proper onboarding and ongoing support, so your offshore team member can operate like they are part of the business, not orbiting around it.
If you are weighing up your next hire, we can help you think it through properly: https://ap1.hubs.ly/y0Pk3S0

This 10th of May is for the mums answering emails between school runs, the single mums doing the work of many, and the mother figures who keep showing up even when theyโre running on empty.
For every packed lunch, late night, quiet worry, deadline met, and little hand held along the way.
To the mums in our Brainbox team and community, we see you, we thank you, and we celebrate you today. ๐

The day after meeting the Applied Education offshore team, Lauren Gonzalez joined a group of women at Brainbox Philippines as keynote speaker for
Held over coffee in a warm and engaging setting, the session explored leadership, confidence, growth, and the experiences that shape how women show up in work and life.
During the session, Lauren spoke about the roots of her leadership โ the environment she grew up in, the people who influenced her, and the values that helped shape her path to becoming the CEO of Aveling. Each also shared their own reflections on challenges, growth, and the realities women navigate in their professional journeys.
The engagement was a meaningful reminder that strength does not always need noise. It can be grounded in gratitude, resilience, self-awareness, and purpose.
Thank you Lauren Gonzalez for leading the session with warmth and generosity.
