Thank you to our client, , who recently gave our Western Harbour Tunnel project team some great feedback. Commended for their effort and commitment over the past month on the Ventilation Systems project.

Last week marked a significant milestone with the receipt and installation of the first axial fans, this is a huge step forward as the project continues to hit its key program dates.

Acciona acknowledged the team's performance, highlighting the innovation and collaboration demonstrated across the project, particularly the use of remote-powered skates to safely and efficiently position equipment on site.

Yesterday, our teams from our project sites to the corporate office took a break to reflect on the message behind . Recognising the importance of connection and showing our support for each other by having conversations.

A special shoutout to one of our team members, Carol, who walked a massive 35km to raise awareness for World Su***de Prevention Day. She was honouring a friend as well as the 9 Australians who, on average, lose their lives to su***de each day. We are proud of her effort.

The message shouldn’t only be unique to today, checking in on each other, and finding time for each other to listen is something we should carry every single day.

Don’t be afraid to ask, “R U OK?”.

Last week, one of our project teams came together for a special presentation, a chance to reflect on our safety culture, learn from one another, and recommit to working safely every day.

We were honoured to welcome Brad Ness OAM, one of Australia's most accomplished Paralympic athletes, as our guest speaker.

Brad was an 18-year-old deckhand working the Fremantle–Rottnest ferry route when his life changed in an instant following a workplace incident. Rather than let that moment define him, he went on to build one of the most extraordinary sporting careers in Australian Paralympic history, captaining the Australian Rollers wheelchair basketball team to Paralympic gold in Beijing and silver in London.

His achievements also included multiple World Championship titles and individual accolades, such as International Wheelchair Basketball Player of the Year.

Brad's story is one that reminds others just how much every decision at work matters. His message was simple: look after yourself and your workmates, speak up when something doesn't feel right, and never leave safety to chance.

Thank you, Brad, for sharing your inspiring journey of courage and resilience. The team has been inspired by your accomplishments and your attitude.

Moments like these strengthen our shared commitment that everyone goes home safe, every day.

Today, the SIMPEC team proudly supported 'sDaffodil Day, helping to raise vital funds for cancer research, prevention, and support services.

With delicious treats and of course striking daffodils on offer, our team came together to support this important cause and make a meaningful impact.

Beyond fundraising, Daffodil Day serves as an important reminder to prioritise our health. Regular check-ups and recommended screenings can make all the difference when it comes to early detection. We encourage everyone to look after their wellbeing and remind their family and friends to do the same.

Our recent visit to the McArthur River Mine project in the Northern Territory highlighted the exceptional work being delivered by our project team.

Congratulations to our MRM team for their hard work, dedication, and focus throughout the project.

The project, which involves the supply and installation of a new filtration plant and associated ancillary equipment for Glencore. The project is progressing well and transitioning into detailed mechanical, Piping and Electrical works.

As we progress through the next stages of the project, we are still looking for skilled tradespeople to join our team. A great opportunity to be part of a major project, work alongside an experienced crew, and contribute to delivering outstanding results in a unique remote environment.
