Round 4 of the Summer Autocross Series - WA Car Club at Perth Motorplex was a blast. The fastest track so far this Season. The SSS almost on limiter in 2nd gear going deeper and deeper into the braking zones at each end of the track.
Rhett was on fire early posting the quickest times in Tests 2 and 3. Unfortunately the high load corner areas started to degrade and the AWD Turbo brigade became hard to beat.
Rhett managed to make the final with 3rd Outright in the 3 lap tests. Alas a terrible oversight was made and the SSS suffered fuel starvation at the end of Lap 2 in the final 5 lap race. He bailed to the infield to DNF but still baulked Series leader Adrian Kirk-Burnnand who spun after catching up to the stricken SSS and also DNFed 😫
Congrats to Mohammed Ali Aslam for the big W!
Kris put up a great Test 4 time before botching Test 5 on a re-run after catching up to a WRX on a super hot run that had to be aborted but brought home the 2WD Runner Up Trophy by 0.07 seconds 🥳
A great, fun night was had by all 😃
A 1-2 Class lock out by the More Ons is always a top result with thanks to Filters Plus and WA Haulage Repairs for the support and generosity that make these Sh*ts and Giggles possible.

Round 3 of Summer Autocross Series - WA Car Club at Perth Motorplex is run and WON!!!
Both More On s brought home something for the pool room 🏆🤩🏆🏆🥳
And the newest More On, Morgan Beard, was our Lucky Charm ✨️
Morgan got a Go Kart for Xmas 😱 and has started practicing the art of FAST!

Rhett managed 3rd quickest in the 3 Lap Runs, 1st in 2WD Class and scored Runner Up Outright in the 5 lap Final against a pair of WRX' whilst Kris brought home Runner Up 2WD 🥳
The track was Super fast and benefited the SSS's gearing and front end grip. It did dry out quickly and break up at each end of the track but a solid line remained close to the tyre bundles so the FWD SSS could take it to the AWDs if kept tight. And with 5 AWD Turbo WRX competitors in the field, precision was Paramount! and Bravery essential.
Thanks to Filters Plus for the support as always and WA Haulage Repairs for the logistics assistance and letting Rhett escape the mayhem early to set up for another great Round of RACING!!! 🏁
With 2 Rounds remaining the Series points put Rhett in 2nd, 4 points off the consistent and blisteringly quick Adrian Kirk-Burnnand in his battle scarred, stock as a rock, WRX. Lest he miss a Round or have a failure on the night he will be hard to beat. The More Ons can't wait for Round 4.

Round 2 of the Summer Autocross Series - WA Car Club was a BLAST!
With a small field of 20 competitors the rounds came quick and the track was fast and flowing. Ideal for the SSS' gearing but the track prep was a little shy on water. The track advance was quick but limited.
Usually the very wet track is slippery and treacherous in the early rounds and gets faster all night but a lightly watered track is quick early but dries out and the shallow soaked clay starts to break away leaving divets that grow, exposing a dusty, loose surface. It was not a good track for a Front Wheel Drive. Rhett's Run 3 was quicker than his Runs 4 & 5 yet still good enough for 3rd Outright in the Rounds and a spot in the 5 lap Final.
Rhett was up against 2 All Wheel Drive WRX'. The track degradation meant he didn't stand a chance of advancing.
A request to the Clark of Course for more water next round was made by Butt Hurt Rhett 🤣
Kris Beard got quicker all night but the competition was HOT 🔥 and he came in 4th in 2WD and 6th Outright, less than a 1/4 of a second off 2nd in class and 4th Outright! 😬

Round 1 of the new season of Summer Autocross Series - WA Car Club is done and the More Ons' are happy chaps.

Kris was warming up slowly with consistent improvement with track development narrowly missing out on some tinware with 3rd in Class and 5th Outright.
Rhett doesn't seem to have lost form from last season taking home the 2WD Class Win, making the Final and bringing home the 2nd Outright Trophy 🏆 against a couple of Wylie WRX'
