WEEK 10 -
R U OK? Day may have been last week, but checking in with others is something we can do any time. A simple “Are you okay?” can let someone know you care and remind them that they are not alone. This week, think about the people around you and take a moment to check in. You never know how much a small act of kindness could mean to someone.

The session is primarily for Year 10 students and families, but Year 11 students interested in our Horticulture or Health Hubs are also very welcome!

Another convincing victory to the staff this year in the annual Staff vs Students sporting challenge - a huge highlight of the year! 🙌🏽 We started with a close staff victory on the netball court with a score of 8-6, followed by a win for the students in the Volleyball 2 sets to 1. 🏐

Unfortunately it all went downhill for the students from there. A soul-crushing 17-0 victory by the staff in the BRENDA Cup softball match. 🥎 The final game concluded with a 9-1 staff victory on the Futsal court, therefore solidifying the win for staff!

Staff secured the gold for the 5th year in a row! The staff have never lost in the 5 years since this event was officially added to the school calendar!💪🏻

We loved seeing so many spectators! Until next year 👀...

Artwaves is an annual exhibition, celebrating over 150 student artworks from 30 secondary schools across the region. It provides young artists with the opportunity to showcase their creativity and skills to the wider community and is the most visited exhibition on the Logan Art Gallery calendar. 🎨👩‍🎨

The student artworks highlight the talent, dedication and artistic excellence fostered within our Visual Arts program, under the guidance of our amazing Art Teachers, Mrs Bentley, Ms Aisbett and Miss Chand. 🖌

We congratulate our students with their outstanding achievement and invite everyone to visit the Artwaves Exhibition from the 12th of September to 24th of October at the Logan Art Gallery. 👨‍🎨

R U OK? Day is a special day that reminds us to check in with the people around us and ask, “Are you OK?” It encourages us to have caring conversations, listen to others and let people know they are not alone.

Students and staff are welcome to wear a splash of yellow this Thursday to help promote R U OK? Day. 💛

Students must wear their full school uniform, with a splash of yellow such as:
-💛 Hair ties & ribbons
- 💛 Yellow socks
- 💛 Yellow T-shirts
- 💛 Yellow hats & sunglasses
