Our Medical Director has just completed the Healthy Longevity Intensive Course at the NUS Academy for Healthy Longevity in Singapore, and it has been one of the most rigorous and clinically grounded programs he’s attended in this field.

What stood out was the unwavering emphasis on evidence-based precision geromedicine — linking the biology of ageing to real-world clinical decision-making, while maintaining a high bar for data, ethics, and implementation. From gerodiagnostics and gerotherapeutics to cardiovascular and cardiometabolic prevention, the focus consistently remained on what is ready for practice, what is promising, and what still requires caution.

Thanks to Prof Andrea Maier, Prof Hans Meij, Prof John Deanfield, Prof Mark Kramer, and the wider faculty for their depth, clarity, and intellectual honesty.

As longevity medicine continues to expand globally, programs like this — academically anchored and clinically disciplined — are exactly what the field needs. I’m leaving Singapore with clearer frameworks, sharper questions, and renewed confidence in how we responsibly translate longevity science into everyday medical practice.

On 6 February 2026, the Queensland Government announced the Queensland Free Flu Vaccination Program, which will ensure all Queensland residents from 6 months of age can access free influenza vaccine from their preferred provider.

The 2026 Queensland Free Flu Vaccination Program will commence from 1 March 2026 as vaccine stock becomes available and concludes on 30 September 2026.
