Charlie has become a highly valued member of the team, consistently bringing dedication, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude to everything he does.

Over the past year, he’s made a significant contribution within the physical testing department as well as building his expertise in slip testing and more complex testing methods. It’s been a big year of hands-on development across a wide range of projects, and he’s only just getting started.

At Stone Initiatives, we put materials through rigorous testing for strength, water absorption, durability, and impact resistance to ensure they’re fit for purpose and compliant for real-world use. We also assess surface finish performance, examining stain resistance, scratch resistance, and changes in gloss to understand how the material will wear over time and maintain its appearance in service.

Last month marked one year since we stepped into ownership of Stone Initiatives, following Jim's retirement.

Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of continuing the legacy that Jim built, while guiding the business into it's next chapter. It has been a year of learning, growth and development, from expanding our testing capabilities and refining our services, to continuing to support the industry and clients that have trusted Stone Initiatives for many years.

We are incredibly proud of what the team has achieved over the past 12 months, and we’re excited about the direction the business is heading. None of it would be possible without the support of our staff, clients and industry partners who have backed us throughout this transition.

We’re grateful to be able to lead this next chapter together and look forward to continuing to grow and develop Stone Initiatives in the years ahead.
