CBS delivers aged care and other funded services to enable people to live safely in their homes and enjoy access to the community as they wish.
CBS provides in-home, centre-based and community-based support to frail older people, people with a disability, people with mental illness and their carers that enables people to maintain their independence, giving people choice and control over the life they choose to live. Community Based Support (CBS) will ensure its page is a respectful and inclusive community for everyone. We joined Olivia from our aged care team who's highlighting the 1 in 2 women in Australia struggling with mental health issues this Liptember. It's a national campaign that supports research, advocacy, awareness, programs and education for women's mental health. 💄💋

Some of our office team spent the morning visiting the Kingston Social Hub, chatting with clients about their experiences and the activities they’d like to see in the program. It was a great chance to listen, learn and shape future sessions together. We've just published the October to December program of outings, activities and more. Continuing to come together for R U OK? Day with a pot luck lunch in the office where we shared kind words for our colleagues and had a chat with a plate of delicious food. Every day is a good day to check in on someone and ask if they are okay.

32 years (yes you read that correctly) of laughs and complete dedication to our clients came to a close today as we celebrated support worker Gwenda's retirement. We'd like to thank you for more than three decades of amazing work for our community Gwenda. Enjoy pottering about in your garden and putting your feet up for a very well deserved rest ❤️

Our hearts go out to our Nepali community at this devastating time. We're so lucky to have a number of wonderful people from Nepal working both in our office and out in the community. Your warmth, kindness and respect for your older people is incredible. We are deeply saddened by the loss of life and destruction and send our condolences to all those who have lost loved ones in this tragedy 💔🇳

The Salt+Light Cafe at the Lantern Centre in Kingston certainly provides plenty of light in its bright airy space. A lovely warm place to go for a cuppa from our nearby social hub at Huntingfield ☺️☕
