Your product page could be costing you sales, even if your product is brilliant. 👀

I audited Australian skincare brand Mikash’s Shopify store and found so much strong selling material missing from its product page.

Great reviews. Awards. Clear reasons to choose their products.

So I quickly mocked up a redesign to show how much better the page could communicate all of that.

✅ Reviews and awards front and centre
✅ Product benefits that are easy to scan
✅ A clearer path to purchase

Guys, don’t make customers dig through your website to find reasons to trust you. Put that information where they’re deciding whether to buy.

Your Shopify product description shouldn’t feel like homework 😅

In this store audit, I found a wall of text where shoppers should be able to quickly understand the product.

Guys, make it EASY for people to find what they need:

• A short paragraph explaining the product.
• Clear dot points covering the key benefits and features.
• Dropdown sections for extra detail like specifications and care instructions.

You can still answer their questions without showing everything at once.

Save this for your next Shopify product page update.

Your Shopify homepage could look beautiful and still give people no reason to buy 👀

Guys, here’s what an optimised homepage hero section should include:

• A clean, high quality image of your product or someone using it.
• A short, sharp heading that leads with the BENEFIT.
• A subheading explaining exactly what you sell.
• A clear shopping button that pops. Choose a colour that complements your website but contrasts with its surroundings.
• Credibility upfront: customer reviews, genuine endorsements or relevant trust signals.
• A clean, neutral background that makes everything easy to read.

Bring these together so shoppers understand what you offer, why they should care and what to do next.

This Shopify store saw 2.5x sales within 30 days of our redesign 👀

Guys, today I’m putting my money where my mouth is and auditing one of my own client stores, EUCY.

We started with a basic one product store. Since then, we’ve improved the design, made it easier to shop and brought product benefits, reviews and trust signals FRONT AND CENTRE.

The takeaway? Your Shopify store needs to help people understand what they’re buying, trust your business and feel confident placing an order.

In the full CRO breakdown, I show what we changed and where I still see room to improve.

The difference between a cheap Shopify page and a professionally optimised one is HUGE. 👀

One of our clients had put together this bundle page themselves. It technically worked, but there was very little thought behind the design, user experience or conversion rate.

So, as part of their Shopify redesign, we rebuilt it properly.

Same products. Same offer. Completely different presentation.

We improved the visual hierarchy, product presentation, spacing, trust elements, UI/UX and overall buying experience to make the page feel far more professional and make purchasing the bundle as easy as possible.

This is why good Shopify design isn’t just about making your store “look nicer”.

Every element should have a purpose and help move the customer towards purchasing.

Most Shopify stores make customers work too hard to find their products.

I was auditing Reformance’s store and noticed an opportunity on their homepage: let people switch between best sellers, sale items, Pilates reformers and recovery products without leaving the page.

A simple set of tabs could make their range easier to browse, especially when there aren’t hundreds of products to sort through.

If you run a Shopify store, ask yourself: how quickly can someone find the product they came for?

Small changes to navigation can make a big difference to the shopping experience. 👀

One simple image mistake could be KILLING your website speed and SEO. 👀

In this example, the exact same image was:

❌ PNG: 8.7 MB
✅ WebP: ~650 KB

That’s less than one tenth of the file size, without needing to sacrifice how the image looks.

Using WebP images can significantly reduce the amount of data your website needs to load, helping improve page speed, user experience and Core Web Vitals.

And when your website loads faster, you’re also putting yourself in a better position for SEO and conversions.

If you’re still uploading massive PNG or JPEG photos straight to your website, start converting them to WebP first.

Small optimisation. Massive difference.

Your Shopify store could have great photos and still be missing THIS 👀

In my Up Gummies CRO audit, I spotted a section about creatine lab testing results… paired with a photo of someone lifting weights.

Guys, the photo should help explain what the copy is saying.

This is called imagewriting. Your images and words work together so shoppers immediately understand the message.

Talking about lab testing? Show the product alongside a lab report. Talking about how to use it? Show it in action.

Sounds simple, but it’s an easy thing to overlook when building an ecommerce website.

Have a look at your own Shopify store. Do your photos actually match your copy?

Gymshark’s All Leggings collection page is the first Shopify collection page I’ve ever rated 10/10.

I’ve reviewed a lot of stores, and this one had me stopping every few seconds to point something out 😂

You can jump straight to the type of leggings you want, filter by things like size and product type, and browse a top 10 instead of sorting through the entire range. The product cards are clean, the photos show the leggings on real people, and you can choose a size and add to cart without opening every product page.

Then, at the bottom, they’ve added useful information about gym leggings with internal links to relevant collections. Good for shoppers, and a smart approach to collection page SEO.

It’s easy to browse, easy to shop and gives people plenty of ways to find the right pair.

If you run a Shopify fashion store, go study Gymshark’s All Leggings page. There’s a lot you can take from it.

Gymshark’s size guide puts most fashion stores to shame.

I was auditing their Shopify store and had to stop at this part. They don’t just give you a basic size chart and hope for the best.

You can switch between centimetres and inches, compare sizes across regions, check different leg lengths and see how to measure yourself. They even show what the different fits look like.

If you sell clothes online, sizing is one of the biggest questions a customer has before buying. Gymshark makes it easy to find an answer.

Go and look at your own size guide. Would someone who’s never bought from you feel confident choosing a size?
