For the first time in over a decade, my calendar is completely open for the next fortnight.

To be honest, that’s a strange thing to write.

I’ve spent the last 16 years building my career around tattooing. Through good economies, bad economies, lockdowns, industry changes and everything in between, I’ve always managed to stay busy.

This year has been different.

The reality is that my books are more open than they’ve been in a very long time, so I’m putting my hand up and asking for opportunities.

If you’ve ever wanted to get tattooed by me, now is the time.

If you’ve got an idea you’ve been sitting on, send it through.

If you’ve been following along while I’ve been exploring new styles and directions, I’d love the chance to create some of those projects. I have been drawing concepts and have made some bookings in new styles which im super excited about and i have a heap of concepts coming im excited to show you.

Neo-traditional will always be a huge part of what I do, but I’m also looking to take on black and grey work, ornamental projects and larger scale pieces.

I also know a lot of people assume I’m expensive. The reality is there are artists with similar experience charging $1,500 to $2,500+ a day. My pricing has increased by no more than $200 over the last decade and it’s still under $1,500.

I’ve kept it that way because I still believe tattooing is a blue-collar industry, and people should be able to get a high-quality tattoo from an experienced artist without it being completely out of reach.

If you’ve assumed I was out of reach, you might be surprised, I always work with budgets and I always put my clients first.

And before anyone tells me that times are tough, people don’t have money, or offers me career advice in the comments, I know. I’ve been doing this for 16 years and I’m living it every day.

What I’d appreciate more than anything right now is support, a share, a recommendation, or a booking enquiry.

Thanks to everyone who’s stuck with me over the years yall are the best. looking forward to chatting with you.

A few people have probably noticed I’ve been posting content lately that has nothing to do with tattooing.

The truth is, I’ve always had a keen interest in creativity outside of tattooing, photography, video, art, music, food, business, and the way other people build their worlds.

I’ve spent a lot of time around people in different industries, but I haven’t really shared much of that side of myself online.

Tomorrow I’m filming for a restaurant that I really love. I was already a customer there, so I feel really lucky to now be a small part of their world.

Through my content journey with other businesses, I’ve also been fortunate enough to work with brands like the AFL, BNSW, and some great restaurants around Melbourne.

So while I was packing my gear, I thought I’d show you some of what I use and why I use it.

When I say cinema rig, I’m talking about the way I’ve built the cameras out with monitoring, filters, power, audio and support, not pretending I’m shooting on some giant Hollywood camera setup or being something im not.

Just trying to share an honest insight into me and what I love.

I’ve definitely got goals of building my equipment further. I’d love to move more into a Sony ecosystem over time, and eventually add something like an FX3 or FX6. But for now, it’s about building slowly, using what I have well, and creating with intention.

At the end of the day, the main goal is helping businesses tell their story, reach the right people, and create content that actually helps them move forward along with making my own content in a more interesting and intentional way.

Whether that’s through a tattoo, a photograph, a film, or a conversation, the goal is still the same:

create something that makes people feel something. thanks so much for following along and supporting my creative journey.

Finished up this full leg piece with Aaron.

A tribute to his mum, who dedicated her life to working with animals like these. The project also gave us the chance to cover up some older work and turn it into something that feels much more personal and meaningful.

Thanks for the trust, mate. Looking forward to seeing this one fully settled in.

I’ve been tattooing for 16 years now, and for a huge part of that time I’ve built my name around neotraditional work.

That style will always be a part of me. I still love it, I’m proud of what I’ve created within it, and I’ll always be a neotraditional artist in some way.

But I’m also ready to open up a new chapter.

I want to start creating more work in different styles, different directions, and different visual worlds. Not because I’m bored of what I do, and not because I’m trying to abandon the style I’m known for, but because after this long in tattooing, I know there’s more I want to explore.

This also doesn’t mean I’m experimenting on people.

I’ve been doing this long enough to understand design, placement, flow, longevity, contrast, skin, scale, and how to make a tattoo actually work on the body. The skill set is there. The knowledge is there. This is simply me asking for trust and freedom to apply that experience in new ways.

So this is a call-out to clients who are open to something different.

If you’ve followed my work for years, liked what I do, but maybe never wanted a neotraditional tattoo from me, this could be the right time to reach out.

I’m looking for people who are open to larger pieces, different styles, strong ideas, and giving me enough freedom to create something beautiful for the portfolio.

I know the economy is rough right now, so I’m doing what I can to make this work. My day rate is already very reasonable for the standard of tattooing I offer, and I’m open to offering better rates for larger portfolio pieces where there’s more creative freedom involved.

I have availability this month:

3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 18, 19, 23 and 24.

If you’re interested, curious, or you’ve been waiting for the right time to get something different from me, send me a message.

Let’s make something beautiful.
