Happy Hubbub

Blocks are one of the most powerful learning tools in early childhood.

As children stack, balance, sort and create, they’re developing fine motor skills, problem solving, communication, resilience and social confidence.

One child might build a bridge. Another might create a pretend restaurant or home for animals. Through open-ended play, children learn to think creatively, test ideas, take turns and work together.

Block play also introduces early maths and engineering concepts like counting, patterns, balance and spatial awareness, all through hands-on exploration and fun.

Say hello to Caroline, a Literacy and Numeracy tutor who works from the coworking space at Happy Hubbub.

Our coworking space is used by parents, remote workers and local professionals who need a calm, practical place to focus.

For some, it means working close to their child. For others, it means stepping out of the home office and into a space with connection, flexibility and community.

Wayapa Wuurrk was created to reignite how we view holistic wellbeing and sustainable behaviour.
Later this year, the Wayapa team will be working with our educators and Kinder children through workshops and incursions.

Meet Jei 👋

Jei supports our babies and toddlers room at Happy Hubbub, helping create an environment where the centre’s youngest children can feel settled as they learn and grow.

Fun fact, you might also spot Jei serving bubble tea at Northland when she’s not at Hubbub, often getting a cheerful “hello!” from Hubbub families while she’s there.
