πΏ You cannot teach resilience from a screen.
It grows when children climb trees π³
When they try something new.
When they work together. π
When they discover they are capable of anything
Our School Holiday Workshops offer children opportunities to build confidence, independence, and resilience through hands on learning adventures.

πΏ Some of the sweetest moments at Bush Playgroup are the friendships that grow along the way.
Sharing a warm cup of pretend tea in the bush kitchen, offering a helping hand, exploring side by side and learning together beneath the trees. πβ€οΈ
Week after week, familiar faces become friends, and our little explorers discover the joy of belonging to a community that grows together in nature.
These are the connections that make Bush Playgroup so special. β¨π

πΏ Hands-on learning is at the heart of every Bush Kids adventure.
Today, curiosity led us to a tiny bone hidden amongst the bushes. Light and delicate, it sparked plenty of discussion and investigation. Was it a bird bone? What animal might it belong to?
Along the way we wandered with our emu friends, discovered a miniature forest of coral fungi and followed countless questions into new discoveries. ππ
There is something magical about learning outdoors, where every walk becomes an opportunity to explore, wonder and connect with the world around us. β¨π¦€

πΏ One of the most beautiful things about bush playgroup is the connections that grow over time. When families gather week after week, children build meaningful friendships and develop a sense of belonging.
Parents and carers find their village too. π
As we come to the end of another wonderful term, we are feeling so grateful for the community we have built together amongst the trees. πβ€οΈπΏ

π The bush is full of magic right now .... β¨
Tiny fungi pushing through fallen leaves, misty mornings beneath the trees, muddy boots on winding tracks and children discovering wonders hidden in plain sight. π
This season invites us to slow down, look closer and marvel at the extraordinary life all around us. What fungi treasures have you discovered on your bush walks lately? πΏβ¨

πΏ Monday reminder...
The pace we set at the beginning of the week matters.
Nature does not rush. πA child does not hurry to watch a tiny insect or make a new friend. They simply arrive, explore and wonder. πΈοΈ
As we approach the end of the term, this is your invitation to slow down a little, breathe a little deeper and make space for the moments that matter most.

π Even the emus wanted to learn about fungi at Bush Kids!
Our Bush Kids Forest School adventurers at Bundoora discovered a whole world of fungi hidden beneath the trees, spotting a plethora of fascinating species along the way, including one of our favourites β Turkey Tail Fungus.
After exploring, learning and investigating, it was time to get hands-on with some food preparation skills. The children made their own stuffed mushrooms and cooked them on the BBQ, building confidence, independence and a deeper connection to where food comes from.
Nature truly is the best classroom. πΏππ¦€

The best childhood memories are never found on a screen ...
They are found balancing on logs, collecting treasures in tiny pockets, jumping in puddles and wondering what lives beneath a fallen leaf.ππ¦
Every week, we watch families slow down, become curious, build confidence and form a genuine connection with the natural world.
These small moments in nature may seem simple, but they grow into something powerful β a love of the Earth, a sense of belonging and a childhood filled with adventure. ππ

Happy World Environment Day, Explorers! ππ
Today is a celebration of the incredible natural world that sustains us, inspires us and connects us all which is at the heart of what we do.
For the past 10 years, we have been helping children develop a deep connection with the natural world. π³
We believe that children protect what they love, and they love what they know. Through meaningful outdoor experiences in, we inspire lifelong connection, care and responsibility for the Earth. πΏπ
Today, and every day, we celebrate the wild places that teach us, sustain us and remind us that even the smallest hands can make a difference.π
