It's been a big week at MUR as we continue to hit major milestones on the road to comp in Decemberâł Our Electrical department has been hard at work getting our systems up and ready for testing as M26 continues to come together.

A big thank you to Leap Australia for supporting Melbourne University Racing and providing our engineers with ANSYS. â¨â¨From analysing stresses and loads to simulating airflow, ANSYS helps us test our designs before we manufacture them so we can find problems early and make better decisions.â¨â¨Weâre incredibly grateful to have Leap Australia supporting our team.
A big thank you to BOC for their continued support of MUR throughout the 2026 season, providing us with the argon gas used throughout the manufacturing of M26.

Argon is used as a shielding gas during welding, helping protect the weld area from oxygen and other gases in the atmosphere. This helps produce cleaner and more consistent welds, which is very important when manufacturing components for M26.

Having a reliable supply of welding gas is super important throughout the manufacturing process, allowing our team to carry out welding work across a range of components while maintaining the quality and consistency required for the car.
