Prepping for nand swap! Some new territory for me here. Customers board died as it had a short on the one of the nand chips. The dilemma here is hay these nand chips are encoded by apple and it is not possible to replace only one chip the whole set has to be replaced. Fortunately I have a known good board with working nands which will be transplanted to the customers board. If it works customer ends up with a 1tb upgrade.

Broken high current sense circuit on Apple MacBook Pro 16”Replaced and reworked the ic. Pads were gone from vias too!! The only solution was to spaghetti micro soldering to corresponding connections.

PlayStation 4 uncharted edition came in for no power let’s see what we can do 👍🏽

So much problems so little time!

My battery on the thermal camera died. Sadly, as with a lot of companies now days they refused to sell me a battery. I could not find the exact some on local so I decided to upgrade the original, yes it is now external and a bit ghetto but it works!

And for the hater: yes I did solder the bms from old battery so hopefully won’t blow up 😆

🤢 customer said it has been dried but internals say otherwise!

We managed to recover over 200GB of data!

And on today’s to be repaired list… nasty liquid damage on display connector area!

Sadly, many times customers come in saying my has never had any liquid, this was one of those cases.

It does not take a lot of liquid to kill a machine, in fact sometimes one small drop in the wrong area can be enough!

Corrosion around both the cd3215 chips which are for USB-c

As always no short cuts here, we will remove clean and reball the chips and hopefully bring this MacBook
