Prompt Footy Tipping 2026 – Round 24

And just like that our tipping competition for 2026 comes to a close.

On Thursday the Suns came to Marvel & surprised the Saints along with most of us. Only Noah, Daz & Phil tipped that result.

On Friday the Magpies took on the reigning Premiers at the Gabba. Sadly for Sarah & Robyn the Lions were victorious.

Saturday saw Freo lose to the Blues. Wow. Only Robyn, Jason, Suzy & Stu tipped that.

The Dees let themselves down & made the finals tough for themselves by going down to the Bulldogs. Only Robyn & Phil predicted the Bulldogs win.

We all knew Geelong would be too strong, at home, against Richmond. No surprises there.

Over in Adelaide we were united again in tipping the Crows against the Giants. Not even close.

In Sunday’s first game the Bombers tried hard against the Power but fell 10 points short. Nathan (M) & Phil tipped the Bombers. Sorry lads.

No doubt mindful of the impact of scandal, Noah, Chris, Jason, Suzy & Stu tipped the Kangaroos against the Swans. The Swans seemed unaffected by the off field stuff & won by 53 points.

In the final game of the round we all tipped the Hawks to beat the Eagles, even though the game was in Perth.

Robyn, Phil & Daz All scored 7 this week. Sarah, Nathan (M) & Chris recorded 5 with the rest of us getting 6.

So, we have a winner. Dave has won first prize ($300) with 158. Great tipping all season. Daz has second ($200) with 154 & Nathan (R) wins $100 for third place with 153.

Thank you all for your participation this season. It has been a fun home & away season & now we can all watch the final 10 battle it out in the finals.

Cheers
Neil

Prompt Footy Tipping 2026 Round 23

A very successful tipping round for ten of us.

Only Phil felt that the Crows could travel to Perth & win against Freo on Friday. They tried but the flag favourites kept edging ahead & recorded a 24 point win.

Saturday saw 5 games. In the first the Saints overpowered the Tigers. Neil& Noah missed out there.

At Marvel Stadium Geelong continued their recent winning form accounting for the plucky Kangaroos. We all tipped that.

We were united in our tipping of the next game, too. The Lions were too good for the Suns, even if scores were level at ¼ time.

The draw between the Magpies & Hawks was unexpected but we all get awarded that outcome, as usual.

Noone doubted that the Dees would defeat the Power over in Adelaide Saturday evening. It was a bit of a demolition.

Sunday’s first game put the travelling Eagles up against the Giants at Olympic Park. Lucus was tipping an upset that, sadly, didn’t happen.

The draw between the Bulldogs & Carlton was another surprise. It didn’t hurt Josh Fraser’s coaching future. 😊

The last game of the round saw the Swans come to the G & win against cellar dwellers Essendon. All but Nathan (M) tipped that. I don’t think any of us would have expected senior Swans to celebrate overly at this stage of the season – Mm.

Stu, Neil, Nathan & Lucas (M) & Noah all scored 8 this week. The other 10 all got 9 & scratchies are already in the post.

Dave still leads on 152. Daz & Nathan (R) are tied in 2nd with 147. Neil is 3rd on 145. Chris has 143, Robyn is on 141 with Sarah not far away on 138. Rus & Jason are both on 137 with Phil next with 136. Suzy & Stu have 135 each with Noah next on 132. Lucas has 125 with Nathan (M) bringing up the rear with 109.

The last round of the comp gets underway on Thursday when the Saints host the Suns at Marvel. Don’t be late with those tips.

Good Luck.
Cheers

Prompt Footy Tipping 2026 Round 22

Marvel Stadium saw one sided match on Thursday. The Bulldogs tried & tried but North were just too strong for them. Noah was spot on in tipping the Roos. Well done.

We were evenly divided in our tips for Friday’s game at the Gabba where the Lions hosted the Hawks. Even those who tipped the Lions wouldn’t have expected it to be a 10 goal flogging of the Hawks. Wow.

Saturday’s first game was at the G where the Dees were at home against the Dockers. It was bloody close all game and the Dees only just put their nose in front in the final minutes. Daz & Noah picked that result.

We were united in tipping the Swans, at home, against Port Adelaide. In spite of a close first 1/4 the Swans were ruthless, finally winning by 97 points.

Down at GMHBA Stadium the Cats accounted for the struggling Bombers, as all but Nathan (M) tipped. It was a comprehensive 10 goal win to the home team.

In Adelaide the Crows hosted the Tigers & (in a result that was closer than many expected) took a nine point win. We all got that one right.

The GWS Giants were up against the Gold Coast Suns in Canberra. The Suns were better for most of the game & withstood a Giants comeback to win by 2 points, surprising all but Lucas. Well tipped young man.

When the Magpies travelled to Perth to tackle the Eagles all but Noah expected a Magpies victory. Perhaps next year for the plucky Eagles.

To finish the round the Saints got flogged by Carlton. No finals for the Saints this year. Phil & Lucas got this one wrong.

Daz was top tipster this week with 7. Sarah, Robyn, Phil, Nathan (R), Neil & Lucas scored 5. Nathan (M) recorded 4 & everyone else got 6.

Dave now has 143. Nathan (R) & Daz are 2nd on 138. Neil has 137, Chris 134, Robyn has 132 with Sarah next on 129. Rus, Phil & Jason are all on 128 with Suzy & Stu have 126. Noah has 124, ahead of Lucas (117) & Nathan (M) who is on 101.

The second last round starts on Friday in Perth when the Dockers host the Crows. Get those tips in nice & early.
Good luck

Prompt Footy Tipping 2026 Round 21

It all began on Thursday when the Magpies hosted the Cats & the Pies went down by 25 points. Robyn, Daz, Noah & Phil missed out there.

There were no surprises in Friday’s game between Freo & the Bulldogs in Perth. We all knew that the home team held all the cards.

The first game on Saturday was between the Saints & Swans at Marvel. We all tipped the Swans with good reason.

Down in Tassie it was the Hawks hosting Nth Melbourne. We were together in tipping the Hawks.

Over in Adelaide the Power were at home to the Giants. As Dave, Phil & Lucas predicted the visitors were victorious. The margin could have been greater if the Giants had kicked better. 10 goals 15 behinds is pretty average.

At Marvel the rejuvenated Blues flogged the reigning Premiers by 76 points. The Lions had no answer to the Blue’s pace. Well tipped Robyn & Noah.

Sunday at the G the Tigers overcame the Eagles. Only Sarah, Phil, Chris & Suzy tipped that result.

Up on the Gold Coast, the Suns hosted the Dees who were just a little bit better than the home team. That said, it was jolly close all game & could have gone either way. Suzy, Nathan (M), Phil & Chris tipped incorrectly on this game.

In the final game of the round it was the Crows who proved too good for the Bombers. Sorry Nathan (M) your lads were not up to it this week. All but Nathan (M) tipped that result.

Sarah, Lucas & Dave all tipped 7 correct this week. Daz scored 5, Nathan (M) got 4. The rest of us recorded 6.

Dave still leads, now on 137. Nathan (R) is second on 133. Neil has 132, Daz has 131. Chris has 128, just in front of Robyn who is on 127. Sarah has 124, Phil 123 with Rus & Jason together on 122 just behind. Suzy & Stu both have 120, Noah is on 118 with Lucas not far away with 112. Nathan (M) has 97.

It all starts again on Thursday when the Bulldogs host the Kangaroos at Marvel. Get those tips in early & good luck.

Prompt Footy Tipping 2026 Round 20

It all began on Thursday in Adelaide where the Crows hosted the Magpies. All but Stu tipped thew home team, but the Magpies put on over 6 goals in the final term to record a 34 point win. Well tipped Stu.

Friday saw two games. We were divided in our tipping on the Dees Vs Cats at the G. The Dees had their chances but were too inaccurate & the Cats won by 20 points.

In Perth the local derby went exactly as we tipped. Freo were just too good for the Eagles.

Carlton’s winning ways under stand-in coach Josh Fraser continued as they beat the Gold Coast Suns at Marvel on Saturday. Lucas, Dave & Phil tipped the losing Suns. Sorry lads.

At the G it was the Hawks who were comprehensive victors over Essendon. Only the Morse boys tipped the Bombers.

There was no dissent in the Battle of the Bridge. We all knew the Swans would be too much for the Giants. The 51 point margin tells the story of the game.

At Marvel Stadium the Bulldogs hosted the struggling Tigers & more than doubled their score. We all tipped that outcome.

In Sunday’s first game the Lions, at home, were untroubled by the Power. We all tipped this result.

To end the round Marvel co-tenants North Melbourne & St Kilda met. Jason & Noah had faith in the Kangaroos. Those two tips not withstanding it was the Saints who took the win.

This all means that Stu scored 9 (your scratchie is in the post mate). Nathan (R) & Sarah got 8. Lucas, Jason & Noah all scored 6 & everyone else got 7.

This means Dave is on top with 130. Nathan (R) is next with 127. Daz & Neil are tied in third with 126. Chris is on 122 with Robyn next with 121. Sarah & Phil are on 117 with Rus & Jason right behind with 116. Suzy & Stu are both on 114 with Noah not far away on 112. Lucas is now on 105 well ahead of his Dad who has 93.

We are in the closing stages of the home & away season. Round 21 starts on Thursday when the Magpies host the Cats at the G. Don’t be late with those tips.

Good Luck.
Cheers

Prompt Footy Tipping 2026 Round 19

Looking at the odds this week, you could think I’d need a whole stack of scratchies but it was not to be.

At GMHBA on Thursday the Saints were just overpowered by the Cats. Sorry Noah.

Friday saw the Swans fail to defend their SCG advantage and fall to the visiting Crows. None of us tipped that.

In Saturday’s first game no one tipped against the Dockers. Flag favorites for a reason.

Then it was the turn of the Dees to take on the Kangaroos. It was a close game with lots of lead changes, but it was the Dees who took the 4 points as we all knew they would.

When the Magpies hosted Carlton at the G that evening Carlton’s winning run under stand in coach Josh Fraser was ended as the Magpies held the lead at each change and won by 21 points.

Meanwhile, over in Perth the Eagles faded in the second half & the Lions were the stronger finishers, as we all tipped.

Sunday showed us just us just how far Richmond have to go in their rebuild as they were flattened by the Hawks at the G. We all tipped that.

Up on the Gold Coast the Suns fell away in the second half allowing the Bulldogs to take the win. We were evenly divided in our tips here.

Nathan Morse returned after working overseas & his Bombers honoured his attendance at Marvel Stadium by winning in a close one against the Giants. Wow – none of us tipped that.

Robyn, Nathan (R), Daz, Rus & Neil all tipped 7 this round. Noah scored 5 with the Morse lads both recording 4. The rest of us got 6.

Dave is now on 123 with Daz, Neil & Nathan (R) in second with 119. Chris is on 115, Robyn has 114 with Phil & Jason next with 110. Sarah & Rus are on 109 with Suzy next with 107. Noah has 106 followed by Stu on 105. Lucas is on 99 with his Dad last

Round 20 looks to have some tough games & starts on Thursday in Adelade with the Crows hosting the Magpies. Get those tips in on time. Good Luck.

Cheers

Prompt Footy Tipping 2026 Round 18

9 games again this week.

Thursday evening saw a top of the ladder clash & for the first half it looked like the Swans had all the answers against the Dockers in Perth. Then the home team turned the tables to win by over 6 goals. Sarah, Lucas & Stu missed out there.

On Friday we had no doubt that the Magpies would beat North Melbourne, but it was closer than we expected.

Only Neil had faith in Port Adelaide as they went to Marvel to tackle the Saints. He was disappointed as the Saints were too good for the Power.

Much to Darren’s delight the GWS put on a great final term to edge ahead of the Cats in Sydney. The rest of us missed out.

Saturday evening it was the Hawks who interrupted Carlton’s winning streak by flogging the Blues by 64 points. All but Suzy, Robyn, Noah & Jason tipped the Hawks.

In Adelaide the Crows were just too good for the Suns as the final 79 point margin showed. Lucas & Stu got that one wrong.

In the first two games on Sunday we were united in tipping the winners. Both the Bulldogs & the Demons saluted.

Nathan (M) tipped his beloved Bombers in the final game of the round. Sadly the Lions slaughtered them by 90 points.

This means that Daz is our top tipster this week. He tipped all 9 games correctly – Daz, your scratchie is on the way. Well done. Nathan (R), Chris, Dave, Rus & Phil scored 8. Stu & Lucas got 6 correct. The rest of us were Jerry Ryan (from Star Trek Voyager). We got 7 of 9. 😊

Dave now has 117 with Nathan (R), Daz & Neil tied in second on 112. Chris is third, with 109. Robyn has 107, Phil & Jason are on 104 with Sarah close behind on 103. Rus has 102, Suzy & Noah both are on 101 with Stu on 99. Lucas is on 95, still ahead of his dad who has 82.

Round 19 starts on Thursday evening when the Cats host the Saints at GMHBA Stadium. Get those tips in on time. Good Luck.

Prompt Footy Tipping 2026 Round 17

It was the first 9 game round for some time & there were surprises.

At home on Thursday the Cats were shown up by the visiting Lions. Jason & Dave were the only ones to tip that.

We all tipped the Swans to defeat the Bulldogs in Sydney on Friday. The Bulldogs got off to a slow start and never recovered.

In Adelaide that evening the Crows hosted the Eagles & beat them. Only Suzy & Noah tipped the Eagles – sorry guys.

In cold Tassie the Dees rugged up & took on the Hawks. Only a tipping genius could have foreseen that the Dees would win – as Noah & Neil did. The Dees had a lead of over 12 goals at half time & held off a strong Hawks come back to win by 35 points.

Then came a complete surprise. The Dockers went down to the Giants in Canberra. None of us saw that coming.

On the Gold Coast the Magpies won a spiteful match against the Suns, just. We were split in our tipping on that game.

We all knew that Carlton would defeat Richmond, but I doubt any of us thought the margin would be just 2 points. Wow. That was close.

In the first of Sunday’s games the Saints took care of the poorly performing Bombers, by more than 10 goals. Nathan (M) alone tipped his Bombers.

The Kangaroos travelled to Adelaide for the final game of the week to play the Power only to fall short. Sorry Lucas – the upset you tipped didn’t occur.

Dave & Neil got 7 this week. Sarah, Robyn, Stu, Jason & Nathan (R) all got 6. Nathan (M), Suzy & Lucas scored 4 with the rest of us getting 5.

Dave still leads, now on 109. Neil is next with 105. Nathan (R) has 104 with Daz just one away with 103.Chris is on 101 with Robyn right behind on 100. Jason has 97, Sarah & Phil are on 96 with Noah, Rus & Suzy on 94. Stu has 93, Lucas has 89 & Nathan (M) s on 75.

Round 18 starts on Thursday evening when the Dockers host the Swans in Perth. Don’t forget to get those tips in.

Good Luck.
Cheers

Prompt Footy Tipping 2026 Round 16

We all did pretty well in round 16.

Thursday saw the Lions host the Swans at the Gabba. The plucky Swans tried hard but were no match for the reigning Premiers. Noah, Suzy, Neil, Jason & Phil tipped that result.

On Friday we all tipped the Hawks to beat the Giants at the G. The Giants cut the margin in the second half but the Hawks held on to win by 14 points.

Saturday saw us united in tipping the Blues to defeat the Eagles. The Carlton stand-in coach must be doing something right. They keep winning.

Then we were together again in tipping the Magpies to beat the Tigers. Richmond really are struggling at present.

The surprise of the round was over in Adelaide where the Power proved too good for their crosstown rivals the Crows. Only Suzy foresaw that outcome. Great tipping Suzy.

In both Sunday games we were united in tipping first the Kangaroos & then the Dockers to win.

All that means that after all 7 games were decided it was Suzy who tipped all games correctly. Well done Suzy. Your scratchie is on it’s way. Jason, Phil, Noah & Neil all scored 6 with everyone else recording 5.

Dave still sits 4 clear on top of our tipping ladder, now with 102. Daz, Nathan (R) & Neil are tied for second with 98. Chris is third on 96. Robyn has 94 while Phil & Jason both have 91. Sarah & Suzy are both on 90 with Noah & Rus together on 89. Stu is on 87 with Lucas close behind with 85. Nathan (M) has 71.

The 9 games of round 17 get underway on Thursday at GMHBA where the Cats host the Lions. Don’t forget to get those tips in.

Good Luck.
Cheers
Neil

Prompt Footy Tipping 2026 Round 15

On Thursday Geelong were in Perth to play the Dockers. Freo are flag favourites for a reason & they came from behind to secure a 9 point win, as all but Rus, Nathan (R) & Stu predicted.

On Friday the Hawks were in the Gold Coast to play the Suns. The Suns were a little off their best & the Hawks held the lead at all changes to enjoy a 16 point win. We were evenly divided in our tipping here.

On Saturday the Crows hosted the Dees. After 3/4 of intense, close battle the Crows had more in the final term & secured a 17 point win. Lucas, Nathan (M) & Dave were let down by the Dees.

That evening Carlton displayed their new style under a fill in coach to beat the Giants at Olympic Park. Robyn, Rus, Noah & Stu were justified in tipping the Blues.

Over at the G the Magpies put on a great display & held the Power goalless for more than half the game to soar to a 26 point win. Neil, Noah, Stu & Nathan (M) missed out here.

Sunday ‘s first game was the Tigers Vs the Kangaroos at the G. Richmond struggled as the Roos continued their improvement this year to record a 25 point win. Sorry Chris, Noah & Suzy.

To end the round the Saints took on the Bulldogs & fell short. The quarter time score made Noah’s tip of a draw look about right but as Saints players fell to injury the Bulldogs exploited the gaps to win by almost 4 goals.

Daz, Rus & Robyn all scored 6 this week. Phil, Jason, Stu & Dave got 5. Lucas, Chris, Nathan (R), Sarah & Neil managed 4 with Suzy, Nathan (M) & Noah recording 3 correct.

This leaves Dave on top, now with 97. Nathan (R) & Daz are tied in second on 93. Neil is in third with 92, just in front of Chris who is on 91. Robyn has 89 with Sarah, Phil & Jason next on 85. Rus has 84, being chased by Suzy & Noah who have 83. Stu is now on 82 with Lucas next with 80. Nathan (M) is now on 66.

Thursday sees round 16 get underway on Thursday evening when the Lions host the Swans at the Gabba. Don’t forget to get those tips in. Good Luck.
Cheers
