Exclusive Invitation to Be Part of Ford History

Owners of ex-Ford race cars, past and present, are being invited to take part in a landmark historical publication documenting one of the most significant eras in Australian motorsport.

As part of the forthcoming two-volume book set, FORD SPECIAL VEHICLES – LOT 6 “WORKS” RACING DIVISION: 1969–1974, contributors are sought to share their stories and have their vehicles formally recorded in what will be a definitive, Ford-licensed work. The project represents a rare opportunity for individuals to have their name, their car, and its provenance accurately preserved for future generations.

The invitation extends beyond owners to include former Ford employees and those involved in motor racing who have yet to document their experiences. Of particular interest are vehicles connected to Lot 6 Ford Special Vehicles, whether race or road cars, supported by period photography and verified ownership history. Special consideration is being given to significant cars, including the Bathurst winners and vehicles associated with the factory team.

Spanning more than three decades of dedicated research, the publication aims to ensure that important stories from this era are not lost to time.

Those wishing to have their car and its story included are encouraged to make direct contact. Nominations of suitable vehicles or owners are also welcomed.
