It's never about YOU . It's about the CHARACTER ! That's the job of the actor - you can use part of you, but it's about bringing YOU to the character not the other way around.
You must learn to let go of your work- you can't carry it with you all day long . Especially if it's a heavily emotional character - separate you from the work and only have it here when YOU CHOOSE !

Many actors wait to do their best "when that big role comes " - and throw away those minor roles . You're setting a standard and a work ethic in everything you do - so start now !
"Less Is MORE!" Think like the - the actor wants to show, the character doesn't !
Monologues are a big part of acting - and I don't want you to think of them as "speeches"

Improvisation is such a great tool - I don't think it's used enough -

Overacting is a big issue when we act - the audience feels it. But when you understand this concept - you won't be overacting .
Don't just depend on your mind - make thing more concrete but touching them , creating them , acting them out because that way it's not so easy to lose your choices .
