Helen Garner’s The Spare Room becomes a new Australian opera by Jane Hammond and Therèsa Borg. Heartening, harrowing and darkly funny, it’s a story of friendship, love and the limits of helping.
This world-premiere production features a cast of 7, starring Natalie Jones and Antoinette Halloran, accompanied by a chamber orchestra and directed by Sarah Goodes (The Talented Mr Ripley, Julia).
