We're excited to have been involved with productions that are nominated for Outstanding Production of the year.

Last weekend we attended the Music Theatre Guild of Victoria Awards and celebrated with the many musical theatre companies and schools we were involved with in 2025.

Our team from LSS Productions had 6 of the 8 nominations for sound and received the Guild Award for Sound for ‘Billy Elliot’, produced by Footlight Productions. Staged at Geelong Arts Centre.

We’re proud to have been involved with this production of ‘Billy Elliot’ which received a number of awards including Production of The Year, Direction, Choreography, Lighting, Sound(this is us!) and Junior Performer.

We’re also delighted to have to have played a part with sound for both awards received for Musical Direction.

The LSS sound design team have spent 3 days attending a workshop in ‘Sound System Design and Optimisation’ with legendary pioneer in the field Bob McCarthy. Thanks to and for the in depth training. A special mention to Monash University Performing Arts Centre for hosting the workshop in the wonderful David Li Sound Gallery fitted with Meyer Sound’s Constellation active acoustic system.

The Tasmanian Theatre Awards have been announced! Congratulations to Encore Theatre Company for a total of 26 nominations and Marcello Lo Ricco from LSS Productions for receiving nominations for Best Sound for both CHESS and KINKY BOOTS.
