📣 Paul Falzon, General Manager of Advanced Composite Structures Australia, will be presenting at the Composites Australia Conference to be held from Wednesday 17 to Thursday 18 June 2026 in Geelong.

Paul’s presentation, “Scaling Advanced Composite Manufacturing: Investment, Capability and Capacity,” will highlight ACS Australia’s continued investment in expanded facilities, new equipment, increased production capacity, and workforce development through apprenticeships and internships.

Drawing on our work across , and , the session will outline how ACS Australia is strengthening advanced capability for complex applications.

🎉Advanced Composite Structures Australia is proud to be announced as a recipient of Round 6 of the Victorian Government’s Supply Chain Uplift Program.

The grant will support the purchase of new equipment to expand our operations at our Altona North facility, helping increase our capability and capacity as we continue to grow as an advanced and company supplying products to the Defence industry.

The Victorian Government announced $1.1 million in grants for 17 Victorian businesses, supporting the growth of Victoria’s defence supply chain and creating an estimated 72 high-skilled jobs.

For ACS Australia, this investment will support the creation of new jobs and further strengthen our role in delivering advanced composite technology solutions for and .

👏 We welcome Jocelyn Le Gonidec to the Advanced Composite Structures Australia team.

Jocelyn joins us after graduating with a generalist engineering degree, with a major in mechanical engineering. Originally from France 🇫🇷, Jocelyn has moved to Australia to kick-start his career, take on a new personal challenge, and gain valuable international experience.

With a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a clear motivation to continue developing in the field, Jocelyn is a welcome addition to the ACS Australia team as we continue to grow our advanced manufacturing and composites capability.

👏 We welcome Liz Peach to the Advanced Composite Structures Australia | ACS-A team!

Liz joins us with a strong background in chemistry and materials science, having completed her PhD in Chemistry at Monash University. Her industry-based doctoral research focused on the manufacturing of nanoparticles, giving her valuable experience in materials characterisation, processing, and applied research.

Prior to joining ACS Australia, Liz worked in the oil & gas industry, bringing further industrial experience to her new role. Her mix of chemistry expertise, materials knowledge, and industry experience makes Liz a great addition to the team as we continue advancing our work in .

✈️ Joshua joins us with a strong foundation in aerospace engineering, having graduated from Monash University with a degree in . He brings hands-on experience from his time with Monash Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS), along with a diverse production background spanning stone work, wire forming, PCB assembly, and snowboard maintenance. That mix of technical training, practical manufacturing experience, and curiosity makes Joshua a great addition to the ACS team.

👏 Celebrating our two DIIP - Defence Industry Internship Program Interns 2025/2026 - Oliver Lancaster and Luke O'Brien.

The DIIP plays a critical role in connecting emerging talent with Australia’s industry, providing hands-on experience that directly contributes to building .

Over the 2025/2026 intake, Oliver and Luke were embedded within our engineering and teams, gaining practical exposure to real-world Defence engineering projects. As highlighted by supervisor Bernadette Grant: “The Defence Industry Internship Program is a fantastic opportunity to introduce emerging engineers to the real-world challenges and innovations within the Defence sector. Oliver and Luke have both shown strong enthusiasm and curiosity, and it’s rewarding to see them developing their practical engineering skills while contributing to our projects.”

Zac joins ACS Australia as a , bringing valuable hands-on experience from the marine industry. Prior to joining ACS Australia, Zac worked for five years in ship building, specialising in structural repairs and paint refinishing, developing strong practical skills in structural restoration.
