On most days, I’d think about this thin line between art and content and where do I ‘fit’ in. Trying to think in tactical terms of marketing. “Target” audiences and what not. I felt so liberated and weightless after reading this quote by Rick Rubin:

“The audience comes last. I believe that. I’m not making it for them. I’m making it for me. And it turns out that when you make something truly for yourself, you’re doing the best thing you possibly can for the audience.”

Here is to another such piece that I have made purely from an artist’s perspective. Being home for visarjan after two years was definitely something.

Happy Diwali! Our Desi Maximalist Collective went a bit crazy and I got an email from to work on their Diwali campaign! (full project on inzadesign.com soon).
