ETHEREAL ARCHITECTURE

This ethereal architecture
The scaffolding of mind
Bridging time and space
Transcending materiality
Pared back to exist only

In the bones of nature

Attached to the sands of time
To the whispering of trees
To the blood of you and me
Weaving a fabric unseen
Threading cosmos to core
Looping invisible
Around Mountains

Back to the centre

Back to a middle
Twisting and bending
Gridding unruly seas
Sweeping invisible magic
Around you and around me
Around the forests
Around the fallen

Around the lost

It is the quiet bedrock of the soul
The translucent net
It is what separates
The lucid waking dream
From physical reality
This ethereal architecture
Connecting earthly frames

To ancestral long gone places

Holding humanity in it’s entirety
Geometric materiality
The magic
The utopia
The fantasy
The narrative trapped
Acknowledging
The time that the sky fell

And that the waters have swelled

Stories soil and stone can tell
This ethereal architecture
This world of its own
That remains to pay homage
To the past
And hold a mirror of clues
Ringing subconscious bells
Illuminating what exists to be seen

By the eyes open to seeing

The ethereal architecture
The atmosphere that surrounds
Envelopes and holds us
Bringing life to the living
Ever present
Always in waiting
Present in air
Always here
Always there
Holding light

Holding flame

This ethereal architecture
The scaffolding of mind
Bridging time and space
Transcending materiality
Transcending the mind
Of you and of me
For now and for all time
This ethereal architecture
This gap
Between your heart
