We had Timmy's AMC rambler in for a custom E85 calibration and it was a roller coaster of emotions.
Timmy brought the car to us originally fitted with a ba ecu which ended up being faulty. (Boy was that fun to diagnose)
The ba ecu had all sorts of unexplainable fueling, stalling and idling issues so we swapped over to a bf pcm to make tuning far easier and the car more reliable.
The car consists of the following,
•Fg turbo engine
•Crow valve springs
•head studs
•Boundary oil pump gears and backing plate
•Bosch 1150cc injectors
•Top half plenum
•Kelford 218B camshafts
•Twin walbro 460 fuel pumps in a fuel cell.
•Built BTR + 3200 stall
•GT3582 with IWG
•China intercooler
•Custom 3" exhaust
After dialing in the all the low down and driveability portion of the calibration we got to work doing some WOT runs and it became apparent very quickly the intercooler was not up to the task.
We were faced with inlet air temps of over 80 Deg C and we had absolutely no interest in trying to lean on this setup any further in its current form.
For longevity and safety we left the boost at wastegate pressure (10 psi).
We did try and give it a run on 15 psi and it actually lost power due to the iat screaming past 90deg so we did not complete a full pull.
We made sure the iat corrections were tightened right up and ran it quite rich up top to keep the tips on the spark plugs and the cast pistons as happy as they can be.
The car is off to compete in a drag and drive event in the next couple of weeks and will be returning shortly to us with a different intercooler so we can see what this sled has left in the tank.
Timmy's goal is 500hp at the wheels and with sufficient intercooling we think thats more then achievable.
If you need your barra tuning sorted out,
be sure to shoot us a message and we will be more then happy to help and guide you to achieve your goal.

We had Adam from Barutta Fabs work ute in for a custom engine and auto calibration this week after they had carried out some tasteful modifications to this absolute beast of a falcon ute.
We ran the car up with the stock file and it produced a respectable 120kw even with the much larger tyres.
The car has the following mods fitted,
•RTV diff and suspension
•31" all terrains
•Extractors and a full custom 2.5" exhaust.
•Rajab racing top half plenum
•custom cold air intake
We optimised the fueling and ignition timing which yielded a very healthy 27.7kw gain on 98 octane fuel, last but not least we also sharpened up the BTR 4 speed and it has transformed the way the car drives.
With its new found power and torque this thing is ready to be the ultimate daily/work/camping rig and we look forward to gently convincing adam to turbo it in the not to distant future.

We had Matts GU patrol in this week for a 98 octane calibration and engine break in.
We got started with a base file and Quickly found the car had a minor vacuum leak.
After rectifying the vac leak and double checking the wastegate actuator preload we got to work running the engine in while dialing in the tune.
Matts goal is to engineer the car so we kept the tune emissions compliant, this did however make things a little tricky as the car has a euro 6 cat fitted which ended up being a very large exhaust restriction so power was severely limited.
The car is fitted with the following,
•Built engine
•Bosch 1150s
•Head studs
•Valve springs
•Oil pump gears
•Garret gtx3582
•IWG75
•Water to air intercooler
•3.5" dump & mid section to 3" tail pipe
•S.P 98 calibration
After an oil change we started to dial in the wide open throttle portion and ended up with a best of 166kw.
With boost and power both rolling over very early and knock just starting to creep in, we were not game to lean on the engine whatsoever.
Once the car has been engineered, the cat will be replaced with a 100 cell item and we can start to wind some boost in it.
We also struggled with the water to air intercooler as the inlet air temp lived between 55-70deg.
We gave Matt a list of a few little things that need attention before the car comes back for some more power.
All in all it was a very successful day, and all the credit goes to Matt for putting together a very solid car.
Keep an eye out for when this thing makes a return and really cranks out some numbers.

We had this work horse of an FGX XR6T ute in for our "stage 1" package and have ended up with some fantastic results.
The car was delivered to us in stock trim and we wasted no time bolting on some very basic mods to breathe a bit more life into this old girl.
We fitted the following items;
•Venom 3" cat pipe
•Bosch 1150cc injectors
•340lph fuel pump
•Fuel filter replacement
•S.P airbox modification
•S.P custom 98 calibration
•S.P custom zf calibration
This car does have 275,000ks on it so we did not chase the boost to hard out the back as reliability is always our #1 goal.
If your looking to put a bit more pep in your falcons step, get in contact with us and we can tailor a package to suit your goal and budget.

We had lukes fg drift car on the rollers for a S.P E85 tune.
With the Engine being unopened apart from valve springs, we got to work dialling in this absolute sled.
With a few random issues sorted out, we finished up with 356kw on 14.5 psi.
The engine mods consist of our tried and true set up.
Bosch 1150cc injectors
6boost style high mount manifold
Crow valve springs
Pulsar gtx3582 with external gate
044 style fuel pump and surge tank
3.5" turbo back exhaust
Tr6060 gearbox
M86 3.45 locker
We can't wait to see this thing destroying tires around calder park once the car is finished off with a roll cage and lock kit.
If you need your car tuned, be sure to get in touch as we tune a wide variety of platforms and ecus.

We received a message from a customer in the USA asking if we would be willing to remote road tune their factory barra ecu set up in a gorgeous 69 torino GT.
Of course the answer was yes, so we got to work doing what we do best.
With no surprise the results have been epic.
The engine combo is the following;
A forged fg engine.
Factory fg na computer.
Bosch 1250cc injectors.
Pulsar gtx3584 on a tubular high mount Manifold.
Turbosmart 60mm gate.
400lph fuel pump
For boost control there was a trusty a boost T.
S.P custom 93/98oct calibration.
With the number 1 priority being reliability, we have a peak of 18psi and very soft ign timing. With the car being road tuned we don't have a definitive power number but it will be between 540-570hp.
It has been an absolute pleasure refining the tune on this extremely well put together beast
And this is all thanks to the owner Gabor.
The tuning process has been essentially faultless.
We will continue to refine the tune for Gabor and make sure everything continues to play nicely for many years to come.

We had Cades Tb48T GQ in this week for a retune after his last engine broke a ringland.
The car has the following modifications.
Haltech platinum tb48 plug in
Cast low mount manifold
3582 turbo (we believe)
4" dump to a 3" exhaust
4" snorkel/airbox
Bosch 980cc injectors
Tuned on 98 oct fuel
We dialled the tune in on wastegate pressure and then wicked the boost up to 10 psi.
The car made 227kw and we think it is suffering from an inlet/exhaust restriction or the turbo is smaller then we think as we had to strangle the boost controller to get there.
With the number 1 priority for this car being reliability and fuel economy, we were not concerned about the power figure.
The car is an absolute torque monster and makes 5 psi at 1500rpm so its perfect for what the car gets used for.
With the engine now no longer suffering from detonation it should live a very long and happy life, well as happy as it can be on limiter in a bog hole.

We had adams sled in for a touch up after he added factory boost control to his sexy wagon.
We were very soft on the tune up as this car is still on P98 and only has a 3" exhaust.
When Adam gets time he intends on making a full 4" system along with some other modifications, maybe a G40 is on the cards 🤔
After we ran it through all the low load sections of the maps to check all the trims are still perfect, we got to work dialling in some more boost.
We are very happy with the result from such a small 2 PSI increase we have picked up 50kw.
Adam is now back on the streets, rowing gears and breaking hearts with a healthy power increase.
We will convince him to put a man sized turbo and e85 on this car very soon stay tuned.

We had Browny and Ash come down from bendigo to have custom engine and zf calibrations carried out on there immaculate FG falcons
Both cars came in with the following
modifications,
• Head studs
• Valve springs
• Oil pump gears
• Antz race intercooler kits
• Full exhaust
• Battery relocation kit
• PSR GTX3584rs gen III
• PSR external gate rear housing
• Gfb external wastegates
• Bosch 1150cc injectors
• Walbro 460 fuel pump
• S.P E85 engine and zf calibration.
After loading base files into both cars and giving Brownys ute a quick zap on the dyno,
We had a boost control issue.
We started with rerouting some wastegate solenoid lines but the issue was still very much a problem.
For interest sake we backed Ashs F6 on the dyno and it had the exact same issue.
So after making an educated guess, we made the call to Josh at ProHose and had 2x Turbosmart 45mm wastegates delivevered.
After fitting both wastegates we put the ute back on the dyno and like magic, we had perfect boost control like we always get from the PSR rear housings.
After comparing the two wastegates (GFB vs Turbosmart) we found the GFB has roughly half the poppet travel as the turbosmart unit.
Along with that the area above the poppet valve is also much smaller on the GFB unit causing boost to climb uncontrollably on these setups.
We finished up with the ute making 402kw on 17 psi and the F6 making 411kw on 16 psi.
Both cars are out of fuel pump and will be returning with surge tanks fitted and may be getting turned up a little bit once the boys get bored of 400kw.
We are absolutely wrapped with how both cars turned out and i can tell you, after the test drives the boys couldn't wipe the smile off their faces.
It was an absolute pleasure to tune these absolutely immaculate falcons.
We havent had engines this happy for quite some time, and they should both easily make 480-500kw with some more fuel pump.

We had Zacks very tidy gu coil cab patrol in this week for a custom 98 octane calibration.
After battling some vct issues and then having a set of coil packs leave the chat,
we soldiered on and ended up with a fantastic result.
Power was held back a little bit by the china intercoolers lack of cooling ability.
We kept the boost at a gentle 15 psi and dialled the timing in using knock detection equipment as we do on any car running 98 fuel.
The mod list is pretty simple yet gave us some great result.
Fg turbo engine
Head studs
Valve springs
Oil pump gears
PSR 3584 IWG
3" exhaust
Fenix intercooler
S.P custom calibration
We are wrapped with the results and look forward to seeing Zack use the car for the touring/towing and offroading it was built for.
(Try and keep this one the right way up mate)
