What you’ll do:
• CNC Operation & Setup: Advanced programming and setting of multi-axis CNC machines (specifically Fanuc and Mori Seiki systems).
• Automation Collaboration: Proactively collaborate with engineers to implement and refine machine automation concepts, including robotics and cobots.
• Precision Work: Read and accurately interpret complex technical drawings, apply precision measurement techniques, and maintain strict quality control.
• Material Handling: Work across a diverse range of manufacturing materials, including steel, aluminium, and plastics.
• Tooling & Milling: Utilize in-depth knowledge of Vertical Milling Machines and specialized CNC tooling setups.

What they’re looking for:
🔹 Experience: A proven track record in the advanced programming and setting of multi-axis CNC machinery.
🔹 Software Skills: Experience with CAM software, or a strong willingness and aptitude to be trained in it.

Andrew and Kara from Talentblue spent the evening catching up with clients at Marvel Stadium to celebrate the end of summer 🌞

MACHINE TECHNICIAN
📍 Location: Derrimut, VIC
⏰ Shift: Monday to Friday; 6am - 2.06pm
💰 Rate: $42ph + Super + Required O/T

What you’ll do:
• Set up machines based on job specifications (materials, thickness, parameters). Monitor equipment performance to maintain high-quality output and safely handle materials using cranes or forklifts.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration.
• Diagnose mechanical and technical issues to minimise downtime, keeping accurate records of machine performance.
• Inspect and measure components to verify they meet strict quality control standards. Adhere to all workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures and actively participate in safety initiatives.
• Work closely with stakeholders to optimise processes, assist in training new team members, and fabricate prototype components to support R&D activities.
• Operating a forklift and keeping the workshop clean and compliant with OHS standards.

What they’re looking for:
🔹 Qualifications: A Certificate III or IV in Engineering, a Mechanical Trade, or a related field is highly preferred (but not essential).
🔹 Technical Experience: Prior experience working with metal/steel in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience operating CNC machinery, laser cutters, welding robots, bandsaws, or similar equipment is highly beneficial.
🔹 Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, technical troubleshooting capabilities, and a solid understanding of quality control principles.
🔹 Safety Mindset: A proven commitment to safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
🔹 Reliability: Full-time, long-term commitment to the role. Flexibility with hours and shifts.
