What kind of future do we want for Australia?

A future where:
✅ Public education thrives, setting every child up for success.
✅ We stand strong as an independent nation, reassessing outdated alliances.
✅ We uphold international law and our responsibility as a global citizen.
✅ We tackle racism with a national approach that protects everyone.
✅ We lead in tech, digital access, and innovation.
✅ We invest in clean energy—for a livable planet, lower costs, and a thriving export industry.
✅ Our industries and workers are protected, with fair wages and time to live—to be with family, to raise our children.
✅ Housing is affordable, migration is balanced, and we tax big corporations properly to fund the infrastructure Australians deserve.
✅ We fight growing inequality and defend the Australian ideal of fairness and egalitarianism.

Instead, we get deportations.

When courts already have these powers.

For god’s sake.

Any time politicians can override the courts, it sets a dangerous precedent. We’ve seen this before—with anti-protest laws and restrictions on free speech. Laws made in hysteria, whether real or manufactured, always go too far. Not for the common good—but for lobbyists, industries, and those who benefit from silencing dissent.

This is how authoritarianism creeps in—one step at a time.

Look at Trump. Without safeguards and the separation of powers, no one is safe.

And when in doubt? Scapegoat migrants. It’s the oldest political trick in the book. Even when our mates, our spouses, our workmates, our sporting heroes—this entire country—is built on migration.

Enough of divisive and hateful politics. Australia is better than this.

It’s fantastic to see this initiative to support gig workers, being the first of its kind in Australia, The Gig Worker Support Service (GWSS) is designed to improve gig working conditions for an estimated 350,000 Victorian workers.

Community Participation Grants are available for eligible initiatives that help residents participate in community life and improve personal outcomes. Two types of grants are available under this category for individuals and community groups.

This funding aims to help with activities or projects that support communities including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, Migrant and refugee communities, People with disability, (LGBTIQA+) and Women, Youth, Children and Seniors to be healthier and participate in community life, including:

❇️ Community events
❇️ Leadership and development activities
❇️ Sports programs
❇️ Community projects
❇️ Relevant equipment that has long term relevance to the organisation/community.

Applications are accepted throughout the year until funds are exhausted.

Dear Community !

Our local Commonwealth Bank branch in Fawkner is set to shut down, which will have a devastating impact on our community, especially our seniors who rely on this branch every day.

As a concerned resident and local community activist, I've already spoken with the local member of parliament Kathleen Matthews-Ward MP to raise this issue and she has contacted the Bank on our behalf and objected strongly to the closure.

But we need more support from our community!

Commonwealth Bank made $5.56 Billion Profit last year surely they can put the interests of people first and prioritise local banking and customer connivence. Please sign my petition to demand action from the Commonwealth Bank and join me in our fight to save our local branch., together we can make a difference!
