CASA FORNASETTI // MILAN

Casa Fornasetti has been the historic home of the Fornasetti family since the late 19th century. Located in Milan’s Città Studi district, today it stands as a unique testament to the unmistakable creativity that gave rise to the eponymous Italian brand.

The building was constructed in the 19th century by Piero Fornasetti’s parents. Remodeled and expanded, it became the place where the Milanese artist lived with his family and established, and later continued, his creative studio. Although the building was originally conceived exclusively for the family, Piero focused the life of the house and its very evolution around his artistic activity and the production of objects, turning it into a true workshop, complete with a lithographic printing press.

While retaining traces of its past, today the Casa is no longer a production site, but a private residence and the beating heart of Fornasetti’s creative and design work. Thanks to the creative intervention of Barnaba Fornasetti, Piero’s son and Artistic Director of the Milanese atelier, today the Casa, an elegantly overflowing and mysterious place, is the quintessential manifesto of Fornasetti’s aesthetics, imaginative capacity, and ingenious flair.

The Penthouse at The Eighth, designed by .kennon.

A study in light, proportion, and restraint.

Natural light moves through the space, softening edges and defining each area, while a refined material palette brings warmth and depth.

Every line is intentional, every detail resolved — creating a penthouse that is both considered and highly functional.

The Archive, Normanby Road — complete.

3.5 years from acquisition to delivery, and now 237 purpose-built rental homes ready for occupation.

Designed around flexibility, quality and long-term living, with shared spaces including co-working, wellness, cinemas, event spaces, podcast studios and communal areas — supporting how people live today.

The Archive responds to the fact that for many, renting isn’t necessarily temporary — and it shouldn’t feel like a compromise.

Delivered at a time when Melbourne — and Australia — continue to face a critical housing undersupply, this project contributes meaningful, well-considered supply to a constrained market.

More supply delivered with intent.
A more durable, higher-quality model for rental housing.

Acquired and delivered by Projects by Crema for CDL Australia.
