Did you know we have AWU members looking after people on the ski resorts across Victoria? Well, we do, and they are doing a fantastic job keeping things moving in the alpine region.

Today, Vic State Secretary Ronnie Hayden visited Mount Baw Baw to see firsthand the incredible work our members are doing and to understand the conditions they face. A big shoutout to all our members working hard to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone in the mountains!

It’s a shame the state government doesn’t recognise their value and continues to fight them to ensure they don’t get penalty rates on weekends.

This weekend, AWU members are taking to the slopes for industrial action, potentially causing major headaches for alpine goers.
Lift operations may cease, car parking services could be disrupted, ski and snowboarding runs might not be set up, snow clearance from roads may be halted, and leisure activities along with essential facilities could face significant impacts.
