Great catching up with the gorgeous Fiona Read today. Fiona is an amazing real estate agent with Fletcher Riley and someone I’m always happy to recommend.

One of the things I love most about running my own business is meeting and working alongside other local professionals who genuinely care about helping people.

Also, I couldn’t help but notice she’s rocking one of my Christy Roth Law hats rather well 😍

Separation can feel overwhelming, particularly when there seem to be so many decisions to make at once.

Many people assume they need to have everything worked out before speaking with a family lawyer. In reality, obtaining advice early can often provide clarity about your options and the steps ahead.

Family law isn’t one-size-fits-all. Property isn’t automatically divided 50/50, and parenting arrangements aren’t automatically shared care. Every family is different.

Whether you’re considering separation, recently separated, working through parenting arrangements, dealing with property settlement issues, or already involved in Court proceedings, understanding your options can help you move forward with confidence.

You don’t have to make every decision today.

Just take it one step at a time.

Thank you to all First Responders in our community for your service and dedication, today and every day.

🧡 Today is Thank a First Responder Day 🧡

Today, communities across Australia are coming together to recognise the people who step forward when others need help most.

To every police officer, firefighter, paramedic, emergency services worker, volunteer, dispatcher and first responder family member – thank you.

Thank you for the long shifts, the missed milestones, the sacrifices made behind the scenes, and for showing up when our communities need you most.

Today, schools, workplaces, councils, community groups and individuals are sharing messages of gratitude, lighting landmarks in teal and blue, attending events, and finding their own way to say thank you.

If a first responder has ever made a difference in your life, today is the perfect day to let them know.

💙 Leave a message in our Gratitude Gallery and help remind first responders that their service, sacrifice and compassion are seen and appreciated.

To every first responder and family member across Australia: today is for you.

A bit of a windy one at the footy today, and not quite the result the Roos were after, but it was still great to be out supporting local sport.

Proud to be a Gold Sponsor of the Maroochy Roos JAFC again this season and looking forward to the year ahead. Go Roos! 💚💛

We hope all mums, step-mums, grandmothers, and the many people who show up in a “mum role” had a wonderful Mother’s Day and felt appreciated for everything you do.

We also know days like this can be hard for some families, especially when there are family law issues in the background. Separation, parenting arrangements, time apart from children, or ongoing conflict can make celebrating difficult, as can loss and grief.

If you or someone close to you needs calm, practical support with a family law or parenting matter, you’re welcome to reach out.

We often see how family law matters sit alongside complex personal circumstances.

Having access to clear information and the right support can make a real difference during what is often an extremely difficult time, particularly where domestic and family violence is involved.

There are some excellent resources available this month that are well worth exploring.

May is Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month, and we’ve got a lot happening across Queensland to support women and the services that walk alongside them.
