Outlaw Charters

We had a few tough days early December but the fishing has definitely turned around with some solid catches of Snapper, Dolphinfish and Kingfish

Snapper were a bit tougher last Thursday off the South Passage with a under tow making the interesting on the drift but still got some nice fish.With strong southerlies forecast for Saturday afternoon, we decided to hit the Amberjack early and we had our limit by 7.30am plus a couple of good Snapper

Snapper again went well for us on Friday bagging out early.

Saturday's Charter started slowly dodging the weather pushing up the coast but once it settled we got our limit of Snapper with 2 solid fish around the 7 to 8kg mark. Sundays Charter was full on from the go and we got our limit very early of good solid fish.

Plenty of Squire and Amberjack for last Thursday and Friday's Charters.Sharks a real issue on some grounds but overall plenty of good fish around.

A very different day going to work yesterday after the shocking news about fellow Charter Skipper Rob Smith. Condolences to the Smith Family. R.I.P Rob.

We`ve again had good run of weather and the fishing has been very consistent with Amberjack,Snapper and Trag dominating the catches.When we`ve targeting the Ambo`s we have got our limit everyday except yesterday when we got chased home with 20plus Southeries but still had a good load of fish on board .We did a night Charter on the run up to the full moon and bagged on Snapper with quality fish to around 4Kg ,some Trag,Ambo`s and a Mulloway.Thanks to Paul and his crews from Gabba Collison`s who Chartered the boat the last 3 days and kept me on my toes!

Managed to do several trips back to back this past week and the fishing has again been red hot.We`ve caught our limit of Amberjack on every Charter along with a few Snapper on some trips and some solid Trag on others.There is some good Snapper around at present but it hard to drive past shoulder stretching Ambo`s when they are on the boil. Shark`s have been a problem and anything of size that takes too long to boat is getting crunched.I don`t know where the experts are getting there info on Shark numbers reducing from ,they`ve got their head" somewhere "and need to get out from behind their computers ! On my first Charters on the new boat it was nice to have local" Legend" and long time friend John Palermo on the boat and I`m sure the new Boat impressed John and I think he was keen to come out of retirement.Again I wish everybody good health in these testing times !

Done a handful of Charters over the past couple of weeks and again the fishing has been consistent.When we`ve targeted Snapper ,we`ve boated some solid fish and school sized Ambo`s have turned it on for us.
