Sailability Bayside
Sailing for people with disability during Queensland school terms. In the past 12 months, some 4000 people with disability have enjoyed this sailing experience.
Who we are:
Sailability Bayside is an all-volunteer organisation and part of Sailability World Inc in affiliation with Sailability Australia and Sailability Queensland. Sailability Bayside commenced in June 2003 with three borrowed dinghies that were launched on an old trailer at the boat ramp sited at the now Darling Point Sailing Squadron. We are entirely self funded, relying on our own fund rai

Thursday 18th June and a rather bleak sailing day. We were thankful though to be out on the water considering the recent bad weather and some breeze was available most of the time to keep us moving. We were light on for volunteers again, however we managed 69 happy faces by the finish and had a successful debrief at the local to complete another great day with our sailor clients. Thank You to everyone for your dedication.

Monday 15th June and the weather finally allowed us to sail today. Showers were predicted however held off for our time on the water and the wind from the SW, while 10kts and gusting to 15kts kept everything moving along nicely. Temperatures were mild and comfortable and our 81 happy sailors all had a great time. Even the water dragons were out sunning themselves on the rocks as we sailed past. Thank you everyone who attended today to ensure we all enjoyed our time of the water. Here's hoping that Thursday will be just as good and we can do it all again.

We got a beautiful write-up from InReview, and it does a great job explaining why the Ubuntu Social exists.
Ubuntu Social is a free, all-ages celebration of world music, art and community at Brisbane Powerhouse on June 21, 1 pm to 7 pm. Hosted by Matt Okine, with live music from Bullhorn Band, Comunidade Do Samba, Dance Masala and The Cosmics, plus free workshops, a market and global food.
As Brisbane Powerhouse CEO Louise Bezzina puts it: "Ubuntu Social is about what happens when people come together with openness and curiosity."
That's exactly it. Read the full feature at the link, and we'll see you there 🎉
