Faupel and Co produce hand spun woollen garments using locally sourced fibres from around Australia together with fibres from endangered sheep breeds.

Our range of Traditional Fisherman's Guernsey.
1 is a WA brown Corriedale fleece which we prepped and spun into a lovely soft yarn, 2 is a WA silver Corriedale fleece which we again prepped and spun into a lovely soft yarn which has retained the colour variation in the fleece, 3 is a Guernsey knitted in Yak to a Polperro pattern, 4 is a Guernsey knitted in British yarn and 5 is a Guernsey knitted in an Australian Yarn from Bendigo Woolen Mills and lastly 6 is a Viking inspired jumper in a 10ply Aran weight yarn.

I have enjoyed spinning these fleece into yarns and knitting these warm shawls. 1 is a Corriedale fleece, 2 is a Blue Faced Leicester fleece, 3 is a Shetland fleece which was plied with silk, 4 is a Corriedale fleece 5 is a Shetland fleece and 6 is Merino

A white alpacca called Rosie from Tassie provided the fleece for this little scarf. Its si soft and light. Perfect for under a jacket

Guernsey finally finished. The fleece is a WA Corridale so there is a gentle natural colour gradient. Will be perfect for the next -15 degree day in Mandurah!

A great use for the enormous amount of grapes from the vine this year. The jelly is wonderfully sweet with a hint of lemon and so clear you can see the weeds in the garden behind!!
