Here are our tips to stay secure:

🚧 Be cautious when opening links and attachments, or downloading files.
🛑 Don't save work passwords to your browser or to personal password managers.
🛡️ Ensure your device and software is up to date.
🙋🏻 Ask your employer for a work device, if possible.

R U OK? Today is Australia's national day of action for mental health. The day encourages everyone to start meaningful conversations about mental health and to ask those around them, "Are you OK?"

The goal is to create a supportive environment by listening, encouraging action, and checking in with people who may be struggling. The theme for 2025 is “Ask R U OK? Any Day” to emphasize that these check-ins should be a regular practice, not just for one day.

R U OK? inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and start a conversation with those in their world who may be struggling with life.

Remember to change your passwords often, especially if you think you’ve been hacked.

Make sure they’re long, complex and unique. This helps to keep your accounts and data secure 🔔

Have you heard of ‘crown jewels’ as a cyber security concept? It could help protect you from cybercrime.

These days, the list of things to secure is endless. Identifying your crown jewels can help prioritise your security efforts.

For the everyday Australian, this could mean your most important accounts or files. While you might have 100 different accounts, your crown jewels could be services like your email, banking or cloud storage.

You should take extra care to protect your ‘crown jewels’. For example, by setting up a passkey or, if a passkey is not available, set up multi-factor authentication and a different password for each of your important accounts. Only access these accounts on a trusted device, and avoid ticking ‘remember me’ options when logging in.
