❤️ Sometimes the rabbits who are overlooked are the ones with the biggest personalities.

Red-eyed white rabbits are often passed over because of their beautiful red eyes, but Yoyo and Yumberry are so much more than their appearance. They are super friendly, engaging, affectionate and full of personality, with so much love to give.

💙 Yoyo is a handsome, relaxed gentleman who is happiest lounging around the house. He loves pats, exploring, cardboard toys and stacking cups. He's a true lounge king and will happily sprawl out so completely that you can step right over him without disturbing his relaxation! 👑😂

💗 Yumberry is his adventurous little queen. She loves to run, binky, dig and explore during safe, supervised outdoor time. 🌿☀️ She's curious, energetic and loves being involved in what's happening around her.

And together? They're simply beautiful. ❤️

Yumberry is constantly grooming Yoyo, and their bond is incredibly sweet. They are gentle, affectionate and devoted to one another, and they both absolutely adore people.

They're wonderfully relaxed around humans and love being part of family life. After their adventures, settle in for the evening. 🏡💕

They're also beautifully litter trained and very particular about their setup — hay on one side, toilet area on the other! 😂

⚕️ HEALTH INFORMATION

Yumberry experienced an eye ulcer a year ago that required veterinary treatment. Eye ulcers can occasionally recur, so her future family will need to monitor her eyes for redness, swelling, discharge or signs of discomfort and ensure she receives regular six-monthly health checks.

🏡 THEIR IDEAL HOME

Yoyo & Yumberry would love a home where they can enjoy plenty of indoor family life, enrichment, attention and cuddles, along with safe, supervised opportunities for outdoor exploration.

A huge thank you to Beary Fuzzy Rescue for their incredible support of Lamington and her five beautiful babies. ❤️🐰

Today has been such a huge and incredibly full-on day across the rescue, with Lamington and her babies in for their vet work, Pepper undergoing complex medical surgery to remove some teeth, another bunny requiring urgent veterinary care, as well as adoptions happening in the background.

There is always so much happening behind the scenes in rescue, and having wonderful foster carers and rescue supporters who help share the responsibility of caring for these rabbits makes such a difference.

We are incredibly grateful to Beary Fuzzy for opening their home and hearts to Lamington and her babies and for helping ensure these little ones are safe, loved and receiving the care they deserve.

It’s been a very big day for mumma Lamington and her five gorgeous babies.

Our little foster family is at the vet today, and we’re so happy to share that Lamington has now been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and is in recovery. Her five precious 10 week old babies have also all received their vaccinations and microchips.

These little ones are being fostered through Kelly's Rabbit Warren Rescue Inc which has sadly faced a never-ending stream of rabbits needing extra care after experiencing neglect before coming into the care of rescue. Behind every beautiful face is often a much bigger story, and an even bigger veterinary bill.

Today while Lamington and her babies were receiving the care they deserve, one of KRWR senior rescue bunnies was also at the vet facing several complex medical needs, including a particularly challenging dental surgery that will come at a significant cost to the rescue.

This is the reality of rescue. For every rabbit we are able to help, there are veterinary bills waiting to be paid. And for small rescues like ours, those costs can become overwhelming very quickly.

If you are able to spare even a small donation towards KRWR vet bills, please know that every single dollar makes a difference. It helps take some of the financial weight off the rescue and means we can keep saying yes to rabbits who desperately need someone to care.

Introducing Peter, a gorgeous 9-month-old Flemish Giant with a gentle, friendly soul and an enormous amount of love to give. 💕

Peter is calm, placid and incredibly sweet. He’s still settling into his new surroundings, but his beautiful personality is already shining through.

Peter absolutely loves his pats and attention. His little nose twitches with excitement when someone reaches out for a gentle stroke. And when he’s not enjoying quality time with his humans, you’ll usually find Peter doing what he loves almost as much — eating! 😂🥬

Being a Flemish Giant, Peter is a big boy who needs plenty of space to stretch out, hop, explore and enjoy life. He’ll need a home with a spacious environment suited to his size, along with lots of love, attention and companionship.

Peter is looking for a family who will appreciate his gentle nature and give him the room and care he deserves. 🥰

We’re preparing a foster setup for a rescued bunny who will be going into foster care in the Murrumbeena area. 🏡🐇

Things like an x-pen, litter trays, bowls, tunnels, hideaways, toys, hay racks or other suitable rabbit supplies could all be useful.
