Operations Manager

Position: NDIS Operations Manager
Location: Mackay
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 + Super (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated NDIS Operations Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality disability support services. This role is responsible for operational performance, compliance, workforce leadership, participant outcomes, and business growth.

The successful candidate will ensure services are delivered in line with NDIS Practice Standards while maintaining a strong focus on person-centred care and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operations across NDIS service delivery programs.
Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
Manage and support Team Leaders, Coordinators, and Support Workers.
Monitor participant outcomes, service quality, incident management, and risk.
Oversee rostering, workforce planning, and resource allocation.
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and improvement initiatives.
Manage budgets, KPIs, and operational performance targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, families, support coordinators, and community stakeholders.
Support business growth, participant acquisition, and service expansion opportunities.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years' leadership experience within the NDIS, disability, community services, or healthcare sector.
Strong knowledge of NDIS legislation, compliance requirements, and Practice Standards.
Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with rostering systems, CRM platforms, and service management software.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Working With Children Check (where applicable).
Current Driver's Licence.
Desirable Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Community Services, Disability, Business Management, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
Experience managing SIL, SDA, Community Access, Support Coordination, or Allied Health services.
Understanding of SCHADS Award and workforce management practices.

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
Desirable
Experience working in community nursing, aged care, disability, or NDIS settings
Experience with wound management, medication administration, and chronic disease care
Knowledge of NDIS and aged care service delivery frameworks
