Our team recently participated in a valuable staff meeting and professional development session focused on inclusion in early childhood education.

We explored strategies to create an environment where every child feels welcomed, respected, supported, and empowered to participate fully in all aspects of learning and play. Through ongoing professional development, we continue to strengthen our knowledge and practices to ensure we are meeting the diverse needs of all children and families within our community.

🌿✨ Kindy Classroom Extension in Action! ✨🌿

Our Kindy children have been making the most of their extended learning environment by taking their classroom beyond the four walls and onto the veranda!

By thoughtfully extending our indoor learning spaces outdoors, we are creating even more opportunities for children to explore, create, collaborate and engage in meaningful play. The veranda has become a vibrant space where learning continues through hands-on experiences, conversations, imagination and discovery.

We love seeing the children embrace this environment and use it in ways that support their interests, independence and sense of belonging.

Over the past 2 nights our team has participated in area age band meetings facilitated by our Inclusion Specialist, Sharon, with a focus on reframing behaviour and intentionally teaching play skills.

These sessions provided valuable opportunities for reflection, collaboration and professional growth as we continue strengthening our understanding of children’s behaviours, relationships and social development.

We’re excited to bring these learnings back into our rooms and continue creating supportive, inclusive environments where every child can thrive. 💛
