My Journey all started in 2015 when I decided I wanted to study Massage. If anyone knows pain and can empathise and know what feels good, its me. I enrolled in my Diploma of Remedial Therapies and completed my Cert 4 in Massage Therapy in 2015.

We then set off on our travels so I decided to put my Remedial on hold. Whilst travelling, I developed severe pain in my pelvis which led to burning down my right leg. Some days, I would walk with tears running down my eyes. I was receiving massage therapy, Chiro and what ever else I could try, to ease this pain. Nothing helped.

It wasn't until I stumbled (literally) across a man in Maleny who practiced Ortho-Bionomy. He invited me to his home and changed my life. He relieved my chronic pain, to the point where my vision and thinking was crystal clear. And then My journey started.

A little about me: I have scoliosis. The last x-ray showed my upper spine to be curved out to the right at 37degrees. This also pinches a nerve creating pain in my upper spine. Since i have been twisted for so long, and never educated on the issue as a child, my lumber spine then decided to twist and rotate the other way, leaving my pelvis somewhere completely where it shouldn't be. Long story short, Im bitter and twisted and it fu***ng hurts.....

My pelvis started calcifying and Im not to sure what that started doing to the inside of my pelvis, nor could 1000 specialists, however it then started visibly and physically burning a nice big hole in the front of my thigh muscle. It was at this point where I started taking matters into my own hands.

After meeting James, my Ortho-bionomist, I started doing free yoga online whilst we were on the road. We then moved to Airlie Beach where I started working as a Massage Therapist and practicing Yoga at Vartamana Yoga and Day Spa. It was here when I started to see the benefits of regular Yoga. My hole in my leg repaired and my pain started to slowly ease.

So whilst in Airlie, I decided to study Yoga to enhance my own practice.

I haven fallen in love with yoga that much that I have continued my practice whilst living back in Mackay since 2017 and have since opened up my own Massage and Yoga Studio. I am also still on my journey of completing my Ortho-Bionomy Certificates.

This style of therapy changed my life. To the point where I could no longer continue to study Remedial Massage. I still love, trust and believe in massage, however incorporating Ortho-bionomy into the treatment, I believe enhances the treatment.

I am now working from my home studio. I can not go a week with out Yoga before my body starts squealing at me in pain. So Yoga is my life, and I love making people float on out of my studio after an amazing massage.
