Casual Labourer Position starting ASAP

About us

Doug Allen Pools is a locally owned and operated concrete pool builder, we have been building concrete pools in Mackay for over 45 years. We need an experienced and responsible construction labourer to join our honest and reputable concrete swimming pool construction company.

Qualifications & experience

Start asap, Physically fit, Valid driver’s license, construction white card vehicle supplied
Tasks & responsibilities

Clean and prepare construction site as needed, including removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches.

Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material
Assist foreman on-site
Handle and transport materials (e.g. cement) and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders) Load and unload construction supplies from trucks
Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, grinders, mixers, saws and other tools as directed by the foreman
Follow instructions from foreman to perform manual labour tasks (e.g. digging, stacking up goods)
Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures • Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis.
