I am the only councillor that has always voted not to increase your Council rates.

💰 Everyone is suffering under the worst cost of living crisis in the past 30 years. The Liverpool First movement that I have created is a movement for the working-class and is focused on policies for ordinary workers rather than wealthy developers.

The residents must be the actual focus of local government.

❌ This mayor and the Liberals on Council have spent millions on festivals, overseas travel for this mayor, donations to Lebanon, drove up deficits, destroyed the budget and made life more expensive for every family in Liverpool with higher Council rates.

My focus is to cut wasteful spending, lower Council rates, protect the working class, and make Liverpool affordable again.

🚨 THEY CHANGED THE NAME. NOW LET’S TAKE IT BACK. 🚨

LIVERPOOL HISTORY SHOULD NOT BE ERASED. At the last Council meeting, I moved a motion to have the Powerhouse reverted back to its original name, The Casula Powerhouse.

❌ This mayor, the Liberals and Liberal independent Peter Heinz Harle voted against that.

The community want it back to be known as the Casula Powerhouse and they have collected hundreds and hundreds of signatures in support.

📜 Changing place names, and rewriting history amounts to erasing Liverpool history. The Casula Powerhouse is part of our city’s story.

⚠️ I will be issuing a new motion aimed at restoring the name of the Powerhouse that has been removed and changed by these elites. An elite is a councillor who’s for themselves and not for the city.

I believe Liverpool’s history belongs to the people of Liverpool, not politician

🎯 WHAT ANDREW JOHNS TAUGHT ME ABOUT SURVIVING MEDIA ATTACKS

I had the opportunity to spend some time with the NRL 8th Immortal Andrew Johns. We talked about the media and his ability to withstand attacks from them which is precisely why his supporters remain loyal.

💬 The best advice he gave me was be resilient, loyal to your voter base and commitment to your city.

Leaders should be able to stand alone, take the heat, bear the pain and do what’s right….even when it’s hard. I have listened to the community who want the influx of illegal prayer halls in Liverpool permanently closed. This unfortunately has brought me haters and media critics.

🇦🇺 Andrew Johns was a truly transformational player, and the media cannot take that away from him.

WHY IS RATEPAYERS MONEY BEING USED TO HELPING CREATE FAVOURABLE COVERAGE FOR THIS MAYOR?

📸 This wasteful spending and “politically-driven” media spending post on the Council’s social media pages to watch this mayor do pushups in his office is morally corrupt and does not serve the public’s interests.

For too long, ratepayers have subsidised ideological projects of this mayor that undermines the city interest.

🔍 I am aggressively investigating programs that wasted hundreds of thousands of ratepayer dollars on inefficient and politically-driven pet projects under this mayor.

KEEPING MY PROMISE TO THE PEOPLE OF LIVERPOOL: I campaigned on a promise to return power back to the people by “cleaning out wasteful spending” by career politicians, by bringing accountability and transparency to council spending, ensuring rate dollars are spent wisely and effectively.

🚨 LIVERPOOL FIRST OR FESTIVALS FIRST? 🚨

Spending over $600,000 of ratepayers money on Ramadan and only $30,000 on Christmas shows shameful discrimination.

❌ This Mayor’s administration is spending nearly $4m on festivals which is inconsistent with my “Liverpool First” priorities.

Liverpool deserve a mayor committed to spending precious ratepayers resources only on making Liverpool better.

📊 I am committed to getting Liverpool’s fiscal house in order by cutting spending that is woke, weaponised, and wasteful. That’s why I have worked with the Community division of Liverpool Council to try and make money for ratepayers by holding the Lanterns and Lights festival at Casula Powerhouse rather than the Mall.

For the first time ever this new approach that I SUPPORT has brought $130,000 to the ratepayers rather than this mayor’s approach which brings in zero dollars like Ramadan

🚨 The Rabbitohs Were Kicked Out. Liverpool Was Sacked. Only One Made a Comeback. 🚨

Thank you Rabbitohs! It was great spending time with you before tonight’s game against my team, the Sea Eagles. But it got me thinking…What do the Rabbitohs and Liverpool have in common?

🏉 South Sydney is an NRL foundation club.

🏙️ Liverpool is Australia’s Fourth City.

❌ The Rabbitohs were kicked out of the competition.

❌ Liverpool Council was sacked by the Minister.

Now here’s where the story changes…

✅ Under new leadership, the Rabbitohs fought back. Russell Crowe and his partners purchased the club for just $3 million. Today, the Rabbitohs are valued at around $60 million. They became a powerhouse once again.

Liverpool can do the same. Right now however, Liverpool will NEVER win under this Mayor and the Liberals.

📈 Higher rates.
🚧 Failing infrastructure.
🏚️ Neglected community assets.

Liverpool deserves leadership that puts LIVERPOOL FIRST. Bring on a new election.

🚨 RATEPAYERS DESERVE ANSWERS: WHY IS LIVERPOOL FALLING APART? 🚨

Today, many of our buildings are crumbling under decades of failed Liberal leadership.

❌ Roads falling apart.
❌ Bridges neglected.
❌ Businesses fleeing.
❌ Homelessness exploding.
❌ Crime out of control.

Millions spent, yet nothing gets fixed. This mayor cares more about ideology than infrastructure, more about politics than potholes.

❤️ Community Cafe does amazing work in Liverpool feeding our local families that are struggling financially. Unfortunately it has had to move out of its premises as the ratepayer owed building is crumbling due to neglect. Thank you to the media that highlighted that this.

Liverpool deserves:
✅ Clean streets
✅ Safe Community facilities
✅ World-class infrastructure

We will rebuild our city and put Liverpool first.

📉 FROM $10 MILLION DEFICITS TO A BALANCED BUDGET. MY CLEAN-UP HAS BEGUN

For the first time in a long time, it looks like Liverpool Council will finally deliver a BALANCED BUDGET. But let’s not forget what happened before.

⚠️ Previous budgets estimated surpluses. The reality?

❌ Deficits of around $10 MILLION.
❌ More financial pressure on ratepayers.

That was before my time. Since being elected, my focus has been simple:

✅ Cut waste.
✅ Stop abuse of ratepayer funds.
✅ Return the budget to surplus.

Every week residents tell me the same thing: “Stop the deficits. “Stop wasting money.” People with financial experience are genuinely shocked at what has happened in the past. How can you tell the public a surplus is coming and then deliver a deficit of around $10 million? That will not happen under my watch

Meanwhile, this Mayor is proposing:
📈 Higher rates from 1 July.
💰 More spending.

One area that must be examined immediately is discretionary spending on festivals costing nearly $4 million every year which we can no longer afford. Liverpool people want real change.
