Listening Deeply, Making Kin.
This exhibition showcases three works that question an understanding of authorship and
agency.
As you move through the gallery, remember: you're not just an observer, but a performer in this living, breathing installation. Your very presence – your breath, your movements – contributes to the ongoing evolution of the works. Listen deeply, hear the humm of the air conditioning of the gallery, now listen even deeper to your own breath and the sound of your clothes as you move in the gallery, now listen for the sounds of fermentation.
Object Gallery, QVMAG. 14th September to 14th October.

The Fermentation Ensemble was packed up at the end of last week. The Ensemble then spent a few days in boxes waiting to be moved to QVMAG at Inveresk. Today, the Fermentation Ensemble are out of their boxes. The bottoms of jars cleaned, and lively fermenting jars have been burped ready for opening night and performance on Friday the 13th of September. The exhibition will be open for a month.

The last image is the trick behind the backlight glow. No photoshop, just my lunch and a good angle.
