Once again, Launcestonians... you're probably all across it by now, but we still can't resist a cheeky progress update on this Charles Street beauty.

After a long time in the making, the end is in sight. The scaffolding is down, and that curved façade is proving to be quite the standout.

It won't be long before we can poke our heads inside and see how it has all come together. 👀✨

This is going to be epic.

If there's a conversation happening in the office, chances are Damon is in the middle of it.

An AFL, music, movies and TV shows enthusiast, Damo is always up for a chat and usually has a strong opinion to go with it. Whether he's explaining why music sounds better through a quality set of headphones or making a passionate case for why Port Adelaide is the team to support, he brings the same energy and enthusiasm to everything he does. (Just don't ask him about the 2004 Grand Final unless you've got an hour to spare.)

When he's not chatting about the above, you'll often find him travelling the North West Coast, meeting with clients, builders, and consultants, solving problems on-site and ensuring everything is moving in the right direction.

Behind the banter is someone who genuinely cares about people and projects. Damo thrives on collaboration, values relationships, and loves being part of the process that turns ideas into something tangible.

Progress taking shape for a Damo project in Riverside 👀

Here’s a look at a home currently under construction by Greenwise Construction. Set on a sloped block, this impressive 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home will span around 300m² once complete.

Greenwise are introducing a Canadian building method known as Ecoblock... an insulated concrete formwork system designed to supercharge environmental performance while creating a strong, load-bearing and highly insulated structure.

A key benefit of the system is reducing “cold bridging”, helping improve thermal efficiency and overall comfort throughout the home. Like anything, introducing a new product and building method, it comes with its challenges, but we’re stoked to see this one continuing to come together so well.

We’re genuinely impressed with how this build is progressing (especially Damo), and can’t wait to see it continue. Check out that render and have a squiz at what’s to come 👌

We’ve done kitchen inspo. Then bathrooms. So naturally, it’s time for laundries 👀

Ok, hear us out. Laundries might not be the most glamorous room in the house (sometimes messy, sometimes dirty, and sometimes the room where everything gets dumped before guests come over), but they’re definitely one of the hardest working 💪

With a little extra thought, your laundry can be so much more than just functional (or a dumping ground).

If you’ve been around for a while, you’ll know that we’ve been working with Victory Christian College for a loooong time. So, to say we’re excited to see their brand-new Epsom campus open and students, teachers, and families enjoying the space is a serious understatement 🥹

We all remember Timmy’s Tips (if you don’t – check out a baby-faced Tim on our YouTube channel!).

Back in the day, Timmy had some great advice for people building a home. His tips are still relevant today, but we thought it was time to re-introduce some more helpful nuggets – this time, from one of our (slightly) younger team members… So we’re now bringing you Jimmy’s Tips!

Jimmy’s wise words are… “Bigger homes don’t always equal better homes.”

He suggests that if you’re planning to build, reassess whether you really need to add extra square meterage for rooms like a walk-in-robe or scullery/butler's pantry. These are some of the least visited spaces in the house. Essentially, a room dedicated to just hiding your clothes or a second kitchen to hide the mess can cost just as much as your primary kitchen.

While TV shows like The Block tell you these rooms are needed for the future resale of your house, Jimmy advises that well-designed spaces can achieve the same value without the extra space (and extra cost that goes with them).

Meet Bella 👋

She is a key member of our architecture team in Hobart and is an absolute powerhouse. Remember the ‘Nelmar’ renovation we shared a couple of weeks ago? Yep, that was Bella 🔥

Bella is also a very proud dog mum to George, and a newly promoted aunty – and she is the definition of “cool aunty”. She’s also a disco ball collector (as you do?!), creative as it comes, a total foodie, and makes a mean cocktail – just a few fun things to know about Bella!

Safe to say, our Hobart office is in good hands 🤝
