Our potting mix that we use on all our propagated plants are purchased at Allan’s Garden Center, it consist of 4 parts Allan’s Potting Mix, 1 part Perlite, 1 part Orchid bark and 1 part coco coir chips which is sold at nurseries as coir mulch. Unlike plants outdoors that have little critters doing the work of aerating the soil, indoor plant soils will start to compact over time, the big chunks help provide oxygen to the root zone and room to wiggle around and provide a strong foundation to establish, over time it will start to decompose and compact so repotting is recommended once a year or two.
