was . Lee spoke for her daughter Joanna who is currently volunteering at a school in Uganda Africa. Many parents in Uganda cannot afford to educate their children, so, it all depends on volunteers and donations. Lee organized several items for a small silent auction and supplied the raffle prize. All the funds today will be donated to Uganda Lodge, through Lee’s daughter can continue to work with, educate, clothe and feed the children. A big congratulations to all who attended luncheon your generosity towards this worthwhile cause was amazing with all the money raised today.

I had been looking for this photo before the reunion and now it turned up on Facebook. This photo was taken at one of my graduations in the 70’s at the Hotel Tasmania many familiar faces there look at you Kaye Rubi this was the start of your hairdressing career when one of the judges Stephen Roney was very impressed with you offered for you to go into his salon after school for work experience, you were 14 years old. The world was certainly your oyster after that night. Janine Stone there you are in the front row!!

STILL GOING DOWN MEMORY LANE from one of my graduates Lisa Roberts who did my course back in the 90’s. “Here I am in my beautiful red dress, I was 17 still extremely skinny post extreme cancer treatment. Less than 6 months before I was hoping to gain self confidence, like myself and move forward from the horrific year before as well as make new friends. A few years after completing my course I was asked to do a TV interview for the launch of the Cancer Council wig library in Launceston, I was a founding member. I didn’t see the aired interview however I received many compliments afterwards praising my composure, measured speaking and not saying “um” “ar”or “like” once during the interview”.
