We are passionate in our service delivery and value the needs of the participants.

As an organisation, we believe that providing supports with passion builds trust and improves our relationship with the participants. What is the Sunflower Badge? ๐ŸŒป

The Sunflower Badge (often worn as a lanyard, pin, or wristband) is the globally recognized symbol for non-visible or hidden disabilities.

It discreetly signals to staff, volunteers, and the public that the wearer has an invisible conditionโ€”such as autism, chronic pain, dementia, or anxietyโ€”and may require additional support, patience, or a little more time.

Why is it Important? ๐Ÿ’ญ

Discretion: It allows wearers to flag their needs without having to explain their diagnosis or medical history.

Universal Recognition: It is recognized across 90+ countries and is widely used in public spaces like airports, public transport, stadiums, and major retail or service centers (like Service NSW).

No Expectation: Wearing it doesn't automatically mean someone will ask for help; it simply prepares those around them to be accommodating.

Sunflower Supporter Badge: Often a white badge or lanyard, this is worn by trained staff, carers, or colleagues to indicate they are educated on the Sunflower program and are ready to assist you.

If you are thinking of wearing one for yourself, a family member, or to train your staff, you can find local distribution centers and read more about the program via the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Australia & New Zealand Network linked below.

What is the role of a NDIS registered support company, and how does Q1 Careโ€™s staff uphold that?

โฌ‡๏ธ
An NDIS support company provides disability services to participants, helping them achieve goals through daily living assistance (personal care, meals, cleaning), community engagement, therapies, and connecting them with needed resources, all while adhering to NDIS standards for quality, safety, and participant choice.
Here at Q1 Care, we offer structured support in areas like independent living, transport, and managing complex needs, ensuring regulated care, insurance, and proper screening for workers.
