3 sleeps 'til free beans at Mona.
It's no secret that the crew at hfo hq are fans of .on.toast (the artist, the dish can be ok with the right flavours).
Plus it's common for Mona to have heaps of great artists playing for free on the lawns in January. Given so many artists are touring around to hit folk festivals like Cygnet, Illawarra and Woodford, they'll slip in a sideshow at Mona.
So Thursday this week. 1pm. Mona lawns. Beans on Toast.

Kenta is a Japanese guitar loop ninja we've seen interstate and overseas, constantly touring folk festivals and doofs.

Plus a bunch of sweet folk music off the back of such as Old Man Luedecke.

So much quality free music in January.

The official festival weekend is over but you still have more jobs to do coz the MONA after-party is today!

Come down and see Impeach Churchill!, Rent Strike, and Doom Scroll from 1-4pm (FREE GIG)

It'll either be on the stage on the lawn, or if there is weather we will be inside the Ether building nearby.

MONA sell scrummy food and drinks (vegan and non). Did you eat this weekend? Maybe this is your chance for some nutrition 🥦

Also, bring a raincoat if you have one! ☔

Wow what another incredible day yesterday! I hope you're all still sleeping (I wish I was 🫠)

Here's a quick rundown of today

We start with a second helping of Russell's BBQing skills down at Soundy Park - 12:30-1pm this time. Veggie and meat available. Gold coin donation, but if you don't have that you'll still get fed 🌭🌭🌭 you gotta eat, team ❤️

After that you can mosey on down to Preachers (2-4pm) for our arvo Sunday spectacular! It's a free gig, so bring your mates who missed out on a ticket to the other events. They deserve this, as do you!
Also there will be $5 mimosas! 🥂
And potentially some showers, so bring a raincoat if you want (there are undercover spots but they're limited)

Then we wander on down to the Mayfair for our final official show with a whole five bands and then a big, glorious jam at the end! 🎶 4:30pm until ??

Okay, I'm gonna go and drink a bucket of water now. See you in some hours!
